Back briefly.. I am run ragged today the conference went well this morning.. loads of positive feedback from the SENCO's and SENSS so good things there.. I also caught up with a couple of people I've not seen in ages.. including the woman who used to run a creche I took DS1 to when he was a baby.. that made her feel old!! lol
Call catch up now then I'll move.. to the kitchen..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Back from town and I only did half of what I intended to so will need to go back later - not ideal but never mind.
MS done and uploaded.
Going to put the washing on the line and then do a HHC on paperwork.
Managed to do some coupon combining in boots so got lots of points and money off.
jjef Good questions - I often wonder where the flyladies venture to and it seems odd somehow to see them posting on other threads. I tend to venture into green fingered/green and ethical/ISA threads/Boots thread/voucher codes and sometimes the arms or the odd 'phil' thread for a bit of light entertainment. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
hi everyone
not managing much flying or anything really yesterday and today. yesterday ds1 plastered sudocrem everywhere, so the only flying i did was cleaning the mess off ds and the floor - haven't done the clothes yet. we then went out for the day to playgroup and my parents, not getting in till 8pm. we then couldn't be bothered to cook so we had fish and chips.
today hasn't been much better. i've emptied the kitchen bin and cleaned it, and spent about 30 minutes brushing the cat who looks like he has been dragged through a hedge backwards still, also sweeping up the soil trail he left from sitting in my pot plant.
my sister is visiting in a bit as there is a local 'beach party' as the childrens centre is officially opening today. we'll feed the kids there.
anyway, will go back to bouncing the baby0 -
Hi everyone...hope you are all having a productive afternoon! jjef - about a year ago someone here recommended (sorry can't remember who
) the site
www.organised-mum.co.uk
They basically do Life Books (a diary) but designed with Mums in mind, with space designated for shopping lists, things to do etc. They also do weekly planners to go on the fridge/wall, menu planners and lots of other things to keep you organised. I actually had my new lifebook and menu planner delivered today. I have found the products really really helpful and help me keep on top of things. My DH laughs about it but I am a real planner, a list maker and have to be organised (how sad am I) It might be worth having a look.
Its been a pretty busy week but I have managed to keep on top of things. Had quite a long night with one poorly 2 year old (tummy bug) and a 4 year old who is quite worried about her taster morning at Big School on Tuesday. This afternoon I need to:
clean the utility room
remove some felt tip marks that have magically appeared in the lounge
Sort out repeat presciption and take to Doctors
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon everyone x0 -
Hoorah! I've actually done some stuff and crossed off my list :j including making the dental appointment. A simple task that has eluded me for about a week now
.
My updated list - still a bit behind though.
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Level Three
Clean oven if you didn't do it last week - Can you tell that I am putting this one off?!!
Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
Level 1
Remove and wash bed linen.
Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs.. (make sure to do the bed base.. mine was gross last week!)
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
- have to clear out airing cupboard as new boiler being fitted at weekend.
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more- recycling
Level One
Clean floors in these rooms (even if it is around the clutter)
Level Two
Clean baths, toilets and sinks
Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!! (baby wipes are fantastic for this!!)
Wipe keyboard, house phone and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)..
Level Three
Clear clutter from floor
Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clean shower screen/curtain/bath mats if you have one/if required
Clean the brushes/dust box/filters on the vacuum cleaner!!!! .. make sure they are completely dry before using it though.. I don’t want anyone electrocuted!!
Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt- Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
- Wipe down 2 doors.. room doors.. both sides
- Sort a wardrobe or part of, a drawer or set of drawers making sure it has what needs to be in it and any 'extras' are put where they should be and anything no longer needed is rehomed.
I have also got to decide which solicitor we are going to use for a land purchase we are making. One is a bit "old school" but cheaper and knows the local area while the more expensive one seems a bit more on the ball.
Have got to do something about it today really - OH is no use, he just said he would go with whatever I thought. Sometimes that is a good quality in a man but at the moment it's a bit annoying.

Hello all you flyers...
Newbie flyer here
I looked at this a few months ago and thought it was great but didn't feel like taking the plunge! I'm worried that if I get the house immaculate I'll grow too attached to it that way and then when slobby hubby, away-with-the-fairies tweenage dd, messy 7 year old dd and Captain Chaos, the meddling 2 year old ds, trash it I will get all stressed.
I do admire how much you are all acheiving though, since most of the time I have c.h.a.o.s. syndrome. But I did want to ask, does all the flying interfere with the money saving or money making time? Cos I think it might for me...or does the spotless house clear your head and allow inspiation in? Any responses will be really interesting

hev, JULY I don't even think that far ahead nevermind plan!
Oh Michelle, Sucodrem is awful stuff, I stopped buying it after DS1 got hold of it and did the same thing!
Pigpen sorry to hear they haven't done anything but trashed the place, I wouldn't dare go away as he wouldn't even feed the kids.
JillD well done!
sinderella welcome
pretz that's terrible, I agree the neighbour should be paying, or at least their insurance, stupid ignorant idiot!
Pollybear ((hugs)) for you and polly x
serena welcome home x
Hugs for bonsibabe, haven't seen you pop in today so guessing you are busy.
jjef, I use https://www.spendingdiary.com to keep track of spending, all income is worked out with pen and paper but I am sure if you search for 'budget+planner' on the search bit of MSE there is an excel spreadsheet. I will have a look later if you don't find it.
DS1 just had his OT appointment, before I went shopping. They gave him a pencil thing (tried loads!) and some cutlery to help. He's just eaten a chocolate desert with a spoon on his own without getting anything on his clothes!!!! Could have cried. Just had to share that news
Right shopping to put away then collect DS2, his Juniors induction evening tonight, not nice realising they have to grow up! Catch you all later. One day I might be more organised...........

This happened to my friend a few years ago and they got a spanking new carpet on the insurance. The inspector who came round couldn't believe the state of the carpet and was quick to authorise it!!!Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0
