Morning all
Welcome back Pigpen. I'll take my detention like a woman... My sheeplike escapade was worth it...
Pretz - how horrid! But fortunate it was just your fence. I hope you get your home smelling sweet again. I've read somewhere that vinegar helps remove smoky smells.
I see today is bathroom and pc area day. Well, my pc area is in my bedroom so I did that yesterday. I'll do the utility area instead.
You know, this thread really has helped me this week. I have this family bbq on Friday. Before I joined this thread, I would have left all the cleaning until the last minute then be totally frazzled by the time my guests arrived. This time though, the house is going to be up together by this evening (including my new curtains) so all I need to do tomorrow (I'm not in at work tomorrow as I have a meeting locally in the morning) and Sat morning is the basics and concentrate on the cooking.
Have a nice day ladiesI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning all, just checking in quickly as i'm about to go and jump in the bath. Need to get ready for the nursery party, its LO's last ever day at nursery!!!!!!!!! It was her sports day yesterday, very cute:D It was non-competitive:rolleyes: Which was just as well or she would have been last in everything:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Hola senoras! :hello:I'm back - reluctantly!
Off to read through the thread, and who knows. I may even do some flying...:DIt is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
I’ve been up bright and early since seven (ish), and have enjoyed catching up with the thread and how everyone is doing. We’re having a spur of the moment party tonight, so I am really, really happy that I managed to do most of the house this week, otherwise I’d be looking at doing Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday’s jobs as well as Thursdays all in one day
Everything in the house is looking pretty good, the living room has maintained it’s glory and the kitchen only has a few breakfast pots scattered around.

Off to purchase some new trainers today as mine are worn smooth:rotfl: I only buy branded ones since I wear them so much as the cheaper ones tend to fall apart! I've only had these since March!!! JJB discount section again
Then I'm going to go and look for a new bed, yes I have debts so I shouldn't really be spending the money, but I can't stand my bed much longer - the mattress used to be my grandparents and is about 16 years old, and the bedframe is awful and constantly creaks.I'm longing for a nights sleep where I can't feel EVERY spring, I can turn over without it sounding like one of those football rattles and hopefully wake up without backache. ONLY looking at ones in the sales though. I've know of at least 4 places excluding Argos where I can look
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all!
Hippy - DS2 has gone to hospital today to have the arm checked and get the coloured thingy on it. The other day he tried to have bath and managed to dip the whole plaster in the water!! DH just got back, apparently here we only get the choice of blue or white plaster covering.
Pretz - Glad the damage isn't worse, just need that one unfortunate gust of wind and it could have been a lot worse. But your house is obviously resisting cleanliness. :rotfl:
Serena - Welcome home. Did you have a nice time?
