Gosh it's been quiet today! Well done to those of you who've got some Flying done.
Hi to all and huggy fuss for Pollybear's Polly.

I've not long been home, I went for a short swim and a long jacuzzi and steamroom after work, fabulous de-stress. I'm not going to do much this evening Flywise, maybe some of the pc things off the list (was that today, I'll have to have a look) and then some trashy tv. It was such hard work getting up at 6.30 after 8am lies-in and afternoon napping, sigh..

Catch you later perhaps if I've done owt worthwhile!

I'm worried that if I get the house immaculate I'll grow too attached to it that way and then when slobby hubby, away-with-the-fairies tweenage dd, messy 7 year old dd and Captain Chaos, the meddling 2 year old ds, trash it I will get all stressed.

..does all the flying interfere with the money saving or money making time? Cos I think it might for me...or does the spotless house clear your head and allow inspiation in?

    Sinderella - welcome...

My house, even since I've been flying, has never been immaculate but it has been clutter free (on occasions) and much cleaner (most of the time). Because a bit is done each day, it's easier to clean up after slobby hubby and errant teenagers (though in my case, I just have errant grown up children - ditched the slobby hubby ages ago...)

And, I find at least, the fact that most of the housework is done in bits during the week (I work full time) rather than a big-bang approach at the weekends, time is freed up at the weekend to do money saving/money making things. It's also good karma/feng shui type stuff. I certainly feel a lot more clear headed when the house is tidy and thinge are in their place.

The only thing you can do is try it for yourself for a couple of weeks and see how you feel .....

Well, I never got round to doing the bathroom this evening. I picked the new curtains up on the way from work after managing to park my car in the smallest gap possible (about 2 ft spare from the car in front and the car behind) much to the amazement of a mechanic from the garage across the road. He actually came out and watched me get out of the space again - I think he thought I'd not be able to do it. But - I did and didn't touch either car in front or behind.:D (thank God for power steering!)

Then I got home and put the curtains up. They are seriously professional ones. Lined, weighted, the lot. And it took ages drawing the strings etc. etc. then fitting them up. I'm not doing the photos this evening because I haven't enough curtain runners and hooks (the ones I've always had before have been flimsy things - these are heavy and need a lot more hooks etc to hang right). I shall buy some tomorrow and put them up and then do the after photos. But I'm pleased but also pooped. It was a busy day at the office.

I'm now going to find something to eat and then flop bit time.

    Evening everyone :hello:

Not much flying done here today. Only done two WM loads and tidied. Did the bathroom the other day n washed the showercurtain and mats.

I went into Newcastle to meet a friend. We went to an Art gallery called the Biscuit Factory which is really nice. A lovely day and a welcome change for me.

Pretz You must have got a big shock seeing the fire engines and everything.

Pollybear hugs for you and Polly.

At last! I've managed to catch up on the thread. You lot do talk a lot - just taking advantage of pigpen's absence.;) ( I'm an ambling armadillo, and the teenagers are all much much faster than me)

Thank you for asking germish, lil_me and boddy, we had an absolutely brilliant time! We all got on well, and I really miss the girls now I've returned them to their parents.

Santander was pretty surprising. It's a major port, but the area we were in was very wealthy, and had the most stunning scenery and beaches. The shops were amazing, although we didn't actually do any shopping, as we didn't have any way of bringing stuff back!

I have done a bit of flying, but have been feeling both tired and unable to settle to anything, sort of fidgety. DD's final assembly today, and they all had to dress smartly - she looked absolutely gorgeous (not a bit of prejudice in that view, of course ;)) and so did all the others I saw. Lots of running around and lift giving today, but I did manage to do several lots of washing, cleaned the cloakroom, and tidied the living room. I'll do the bathroom tomorrow, as I can't bear to leave it until next week. I also did some gardening, planting up the two tubs on the patio, and doing a bit of cutting back and planting out a few annuals in the sunny border.

DS2 has an inset day off tomorrow. Three weeks or so until the holiday.

bonsibabae - delighted to hear better news, but not great to hear about the money situation - that's disgraceful.
    zenjen - Well done!

Love the photos ladies - sooooo jealous that I couldn't go.

Lil-me - well done to your son.

Glad I didn't water the garden this evening, its raining heavens hard now.

Hope you all have a good evening.

:ASoappie, thank you so much for your reply, it's helping me to get motivated.

All you guys who are wanting a place to chart stuff, well someone mentioned a wipe clean board and it reminded me that I just bought a new pc desk in ikea (£60) so not shocking expensive, but not cheap. It has an incorporated dry wipe board which I can't use because the two youngest would copy and then migrate the pen to the walls (no aspiring fly lady needs that) but it would be ideal for listing flying tasks if I oculd use it..

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, I can't believe how friendly this thread is!:A

Although, Luby lu, since you've posted you've not got a pc desk, best not to get one or you'll have somewhere else to clean!!
