hi k,
i hope you're ok today, and feeling better than yesterday!
NSD for me today and hope you have too!
Speak to you soon hunni x0 -
hey everyone, its been a tough few days, ive been feeling so down its unreal!
feeling slightly more positive now, had a cpl of NSD's so thats all good, been sticking to my meal plans and it looks like our very sensible shop at the start of the month is working out well for us and we still have plenty of food... a lot is value stuff.. but hey ho... gotta do what you gotta do.
well im currently burning all my cd's onto itunes and im going to sell the actual cd's... it sounds a bit harsh I know but as my OH has rightly told me, when we are debt free and have our own place we can start to buy the cd's back if we wish... but to be honest, I cant remember the last time I actually listened to a cd!! its all through the pc nowadays and the ipod, I think im doing the right thing... infact im sure of it.
doing some cleaning for my mum tomorrow which will earn me £20!! this will be the petrol money for next week and also OH is doing what she does best... drawing and painting!!... shes painting some butterflies onto my grans meter cupboard! my gran is doing us both breakfast and I think paying for the painting, my gran lives in a little complex and thinks she might already have some orders for the painting!!
Plus if the weathers ok, we should be doing a bootsale on sunday but if the terrential rain we are having at the moment is anything to go by... im not getting my hopes up!!
OH has been off work the past few days with a viral infection but is now recovering well so hopefully, our moods will improve now
ive just not felt like posting but ive still been reading here everyday for inspiration.

hi k, not heard from you for few days, hope you're ok hunni,

Hi everyone, not posted much lately, ive been feeling really down about the money situation, today I feel great tho! very strange these emotions!
weve been doing really well, meal planning, cutting back on everything we can, the only thing weve been struggling with is the boredom! As ive said before tho, we really have been spending some quality time together and doing a list off oddjobs that have been piling up over the last few months so thats very satisfying.
I wrote a letter of complaint to morrisons supermarket because my family and i received terrible service when we went to the restaurant in the store, ive never done anything like that before but i thought id nothing to lose... well they sent us a £10 voucher!! "to accepth their apology"! I couldnt believe it! I NEVER EVER get anything for nothing!! i was soo happy, anyway, yesterday we went and got a few basics, ie.. pasta, chopped tomatoes, eggs, bread, milk etc... also, friday night, i drove my bro and his mates to a club and picked them up at stupid o'clock in the morning and they all gave me £10 each bless them!! there was 4 of them so that was a good earner considering I only used about £10 petrol!! so now weve already done most of our shopping we wont need to spend the money from our wages! yay!! weve really done well to get our shopping bill down so much, im really pleased, ive used lots of recipes from the OS board too.
Payday on friday and its the first month with my payrise so will know how much more i'll now receive each month. A 4 day week for us next week, we have friday off and are going to london for the day for a walk round and a look round the food markets... I already have a season ticket and the OH is going to use a free ticket I received because I filled in a questionnaire for the train company!! taking lunch with us too! and next saturday its my sister in laws birthday and shes having a big bbq party so its gonna be free drink and food all day!! and then next sunday.. its my grans birthday and my parents have booked a table in a nice restaurant and they are paying for me and OH!! things are def looking up.
we have 2 weeks off at the end of august and we are going to 2 music festivals, these have been booked for ages so tickets are already paid for.. unfortunately we are going to need a fair bit of spending money for these 2 weeks, however weve already roughly worked out a budget and it seems on top of a decent amount of spending money and paying all the bills and minimum payments, we can still pay an extra £200 off the inlaws bill, so im really pleased that this bill is soon to be wiped off( within the next 2 months!!)
our aim is to get rid of the inlaws bill, the next bill and the lloyds tsb credit card by christmas!! It would be a big step if we achieved this! but its gonna be hard cos from now and till xmas, we have tax, mot, 4 birthdays and xmas pressies!!
heres hoping... feeling good today, sorry for the rambling everyone!!

hi k, my main concern was that things were tough and that you were struggling!!! you have done fantastic and remember you helped me get started!!!!
we are all friends forever now so it will just be natural if one person is not heard from for a while!!!
you're gonna have a good few weeks
Tony xxxxx0 -
thanks tony, im ok.. just takes time!
I just had a big cull of my cd and dvd collection, I love music and films but gathered they were just money sitting on the shelf!!
it was a tough decision but we both agreed they would be better off making us some money now and if we desperately wanted them, we could always buy them when we are debt free. Im ashamed to say that we had about 10 dvd's with the plastic wrapping still on!
we now have a big bootsale pile, hopefully we can do one within the next few weeks.
I need to be less materialistic.. deep down, I wanted to keep them to have on show when friends/family come round... stupidly I thought it would make us look less skint, thankfully Ive realised that who cares what people think!! id rather have an empty flat and shrinking debts than a flat filled with everything and deep in debt.
Its taken me a long while to realise this... anyone else feel the same??
im learning new things all the time!

hi k,
im trying to do the same at the moment, ive got boxes of videos and stuff and even if i only a £5 or £10 for the lot, its space cleared and money in my pocket!
it does take a whileto realise but it sounds like you've had a good month even though its been tough and glad you have had quality time together too!
Istart my new job on 28th, £1k a year rise and a 15 mile round trip instead of 75!
You can always download your music, i hardly ever listen to my cds unless i put them in the car!
Iam relieved to know your ok!
Take care for now hun !
