Because we know how to deal with money, we actually have some left over for a few pints. I personally prefer to plan for what I expect to happen, not what I wish will happen. It is called being a grown up.

Nor do I. I'm really taken aback that she has been refered to as a 'misery spreader' and 'nitpicking', and somone has said that, from reading one/some of her posts, they think she may be 'a bit depressed'.

I don't see any of this in her!

No, in my experience she's a good laugh in fact a do many here.

With no wish to be rude,Catalystpod, it seems regretably premature to join and join in character assaignations so promptly. I'm a relative newby too, and people continue to surprise me.....:o.

NDGirl posted the post Annpan was unhappy about at just gone midnight. Personally, if I was having to deal with this sort of stuff at any point in my day, let alone the wee small hours as an emergency, I would be feeling a little downbeat, too. I imagine posting here was a blessed break away from it.

I still don't think she is 'downbeat' normally, though.

The reason for some of the venom could be that over the last few years those that didn't buy a home were ridiculed both subtlely and overtly.
It was common to hear "rentings for losers, it's dead money, get some bottle and buy now, prices only go up, too many people too much demand to possibly entertain the idea prices could fall, I've made £100k on my house - but I'm not bragging - just surprised is all (mmmm)"

This was like a death by a thousand cuts, where the non buyers must have felt isolated, and outside the norm.
Now at last they might feel vindicated that it turned out they were'nt mad Carrie loners, but actually ahead of the curve.

Twas I that started it with 'what goes around....etc' Only said it like you do as a term of phrase. The trouble with it was that my mate NDG decided to make a harrowing analogy of some poor soul starving in Somalia (Ithink) with AIDS. Just got me goat.
