If people have nothing constuctive or sympathetic to offer those people who are currently loosing sleep, worrying, feeling depressed and upset because they are facing real financial trouble at the moment then they would be better posting no reply at all.
There is alot of bad feeling towards buy to let investors, but please remember that there are alot of people out there who struggled to buy their only home in the last year or so, work hard, saved hard, did nothing wrong, and are now up the creek without a paddle.
They need sympathy and support, not cruel wisecracks and smugness from those of you who are fortunate enought not to be in this unhappy situation.
Aw jeez, not this !!!!!! again....
Look, if you want hugs and to be told what you want to hear, find another forum, like the DFW forum. You get told how it is on here and if you don't like it, tough !!!!!!.
I'm getting pretty sick of you and your cronies coming on this forum whinging and whining that were not all nice and huggy with each other. We don't "do" huggy.
It goes something like this :
PasturesNew : Tongue-in-cheek sarcasm and general comedy :rotfl:
Brit1234 : Chief Scare-mongerer :rotfl:
!!!!!!? : Deputy Scare-mongerer :rotfl:
Dopester : Back-up scare-mongerer, but draws us graphs in MS Paint to get his point across instead of using words like everyone else :rotfl:
Neverdespairgirl : On the 'Thanks' button, regardless of whether she agrees with you or not :rotfl:
Pickles "Green Shoots" 110564 (or is it BTLnewbie?) : Chief "there is no HPC" wooden spoon holder/troll :rotfl:
Mr. Broderick : Deputy "there is no HPC" wooden spoon holder/troll :rotfl:
So leave us alone lizzy, we've got it sussed.

You forgot me, I'm the one that reminded you just how stupid you are, and in reality just how close you are to living in a tent. Please do NOT eat the swans.
What about you? what number of 2008 are you going to be?0 -

You are the one I sometimes have to read twice before deciding if I should thank you or not! Sometimes you come across as being very harsh, but I usually give you a thanks for those posts as you are often saying something I agree with - only worded a lot better than I could as I would try to say it with 'fluffyness'.0 -
Really hope you're feeling better, Lizzymouse - I was really worried after reading some of your posts and sincerely hope you got no personal aggro on here - you of all people certainly don't need it. Particularly as you posted on here for advice before buying recently, too.
I've got plenty of vicious personal abuse on here recently - for better or worse, the personal abuse is not limited to one side or other in the debate.
As you well know, I have only sympathy for your situation, and really hope you've managed to resolve it in some way, or are at least nearer to deciding how to do that. Try to ignore those who use the internet to attack those asking for help - they are not worth getting upset about. As far as I'm concerned, those who post vitriolic personal attacks on me pass below my radar - they are clearly those so bent on pursuing their own agenda that they will attack anyone whose perceived agenda is different - they are not really capable of viewing either of us as people with feelings.
Focus on what you need to get through your difficult time - hope it all works out for you. Big hug.0 -
And then there are people like me who don't own a home and have no wish to own a home, who didn't sell to rent etc.
In fact someone who has no vested interest in the property market and whether the prices go up,down, sideways or into the stratosphere.
I just take an interest in the property prices but for no particular reason... I can relate to those who have struggled to get on the ladder, I can also relate to those who are in difficulties but then I can also relate to those who wish to see their properties turn a profit so they have choice when they retire.
I can play huggy on the DFW board or I can play slightly more harsher on here.
We are all different, some will take comments the wrong way and some will be at such a stage in their lives where comments which normally would not have upset them, now do.
There are a number of different ways of telling someone they may not have been wise, some take the direct route "You're stupid" whilst others will try to be slightly kinder but basically saying the same thing "Are you sure that was a good move" "Not sure you should be buying right now".
In my book it is never the correct thing to tell someone they have been stupid, in most cases they already know that and don't need someone else to tell them but what they do need is advice (non huggy will do) on how to get out of a predicament...it doesn't have to be worded in a derogatory way but then it doesn't need to be sugar coated either, people just tend to respond better when they are not being called names and are more open to suggestions of a way forward.
Finding the happy medium though is not always easy.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I did, and I didn't like it. Best let the mods decide.0 -
EdInvestor wrote: »so they are posting all over the net in an effort to increase gloom and pessimism and drive prices down further. This is the only way they can afford to get back on the ladder themselves.
They are rather a pathetic group IMHO - what comes across as smugness often hides something a lot closer to desperation.
Now those !!!!!!s at HBOS are doing it to... Doom mongers.
