Ah right - it just seemed to contrast so much with the family last week with the ordinary glass conservatory who got told off! Ta.0

They probably had a cheapo conservatory built using just normal toughened glassOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I watched it again last night, and that woman is still annoying me lots and lots! I can't believe she told him to stop listening to the stereo, using his headphones it must only consume around 20watts.
I'm sure she could cut down on her consumption, I mean, i'm sure she doesn't waste food, well, at least it doesn't go in the bin
And for most of the program she was wearing a nylon top.0 -
Well we now know that an orange boiler suit and hard hat is NOT a good loook on dear old Penny and why does she ride her bike looking like she has just had an enema? Having said all that I kinda like her, she's my kind of woman. Give me an old opinionated bossy-boots anytime. Talking of old boilers! She kept going on about how much money a 15yr old one wastes. I'm still running one with a celebration sticker on it that I slapped on for the Queen's Silver jubilee:eek: I'm sure chucking money down the drain would be quicker and I would love to change it but havn't scraped enough together yet.Life's a beach! Ouch!
I thought focusing on the small electrical appliances was a bit misleading as well. She should have concentrated on the washing and heating (which she did later). Also why not suggest bath sharing? The bloke could easily have had a decent soak and then one of the kids could have got in after.

I'm going to have a go at the hay box as I have the very same one she was using. (she must shop at Lidls)!0

How do you get a box like that from Lidls, I've never seen one?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hi
Re changing a 15-year old boiler - we looked at this possibility but were told by heating engineers 'it ain't broke so why fix it?'
We decided to get the bedroom done instead this year - boiler may possibly get done for winter 2006. The increasing cost of gas may be a consideration, get something more energy-efficient. Basically we only need a tankful of hot water in the mornings - a shower each, washing-machine a couple of times a week, washing-up 2 or 3 times a day. We don't need a 40-gallon tank kept hot all the time. We've looked at the type of boilers which heat up water as you're using it straight from the (metered) water mains and they seem to be possibly the way to go.
