Well fellow "eco warriors" and "money savers" energy prices are on the march upwards again.....oil will probably pass $68 today....so I'm glad I started this thread too
Note to self - must try harder:cool::D0 -
Hi guys, I'm on pre-payment meter, so I don't know what happens about costs there, as we didn't get the benefits of the reducing prices everyone was talking about and, in the rented house, we can't opt for any other sort of meter.
This week has brought my average electricity costs down to £22 per week. My annual budget allows for £23 per week (£1200 per annum) but I still need to factor in wood & coal, which are currently averaging £5.52 per week, so I'm not out of the woods yet at £28.52 per week average for energy costs. I really need this below £25 per week ASAP. The good weather will certainly help as I haven't needed to light the fire as often
Your household's total energy spend over the last 25 weeks is £550.15I reserve the right not to spend.

My badges for last week put me comfortably on the 'C' side of a 'D' against all users, and a 'C' against all g&e detached properties (only just a 'C' rather than a 'D' though).

Two A's at the moment back on the list again. Well I've hardly been indoors to be honest.
Just got my full one year results since starting my personal meter watching in May last year.
Elec: 1434 kWh
Gas: 2887 kWh
CO2
Elec: 757 kg (Based on imeasures 0.528 kg CO2 / kWh)
Gas: 595 kg (Based on imeasures 0.208 kg CO2 / kWh)
Total: 1,352 kg (I confess I actually tried to keep that below 1,000)
Cost: approx £370.
This would have been £650 to £700 based on previous consumption.
Compared to previous year of 9,695 gas and 2996 elec I think that is:
Elec 38% reduction.
Gas 70% reduction.
Thanks everyone and thanks for the thread setmefree2. :T:T:T
PS just got £20 M and S vouchers from pigsback competition.0
