Turned the hot water lower on the boiler gradually over past three weeks. Looks like 30kwh is our summer usage for gas. Electricity is the lowest since we started imeasure in Feb 52kwh. Can't see that getting much lower either but lets see......... my eon bill is due today but not ready due to BH. I want my refund!!!There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0 -

Can't compete in the carbon club, sorry, circumstances dictate otherwise. Bought a couple of bags of coal and a load of logs, so £63 to be added on top of the aboveI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Your household's total energy spend over the last 41 weeks is £1,412.54.
So £35 per week.
For week ending 24th May, 2009 your household spent £26.95 in total.
Of course the cost issue isn't exactly right for us because they changed the tariff midyear again
I'm an E compared to all similar households. As a result of DH being at home all week - he puts the heat on and forgets about it
I can't compete either sadly except with myselfLast year we used 26914kwh of gas, this year so far we're on around 19000 with about 14 weeks to go (and our gas use is usually about 250kwh pw average in summertime). So I'm hoping to be around 4000kwh down on last year. Alas with the electric there doesn't seem to be much chance for saving
but I'm hoping to be around 500kwh down on last year if the weather stays good ... this would work out as about a £250 saving overall on the previous year which is pretty good considering the tariffs went up...

43 weeks and on a B and B for all users and low rise flats. I've been out most of the week so readings are very low this week and used 16 kWh of electricity. Hardly done any cooking as I've bought mostly cold food.0

Well done everyone.
Not been about for a while as my oh was made redundant and having him home plays havoc with my surf time:rotfl:. I was also scared the affect he'd have on our usage but all my training seems to be paying off and we've not seen big increases.
You have been measuring for 18 weeks and began on 25 Jan 2009.
Total household emissions 1,464 kg CO2
For week ending: 24th May, 2009 your household emitted 46 kg CO2
Your household's total energy spend over the last 18 weeks is £282.27.
For week ending 24th May, 2009 your household spent £8.81 in total.
Gas meter (cu. ft. x 100): £2.41 - Main electricity meter: £6.40
We're still an A and no 5 in the MSE club for the second time

Last weeks readings left me bang on average (D) for all users, and a C side of a D for all g&e detached properties,
Just entered this weeks readings, and am really pleased (though not complacent, as I'm sure the weather has been a contributing factor so also expect everyone else to have seen a drop)
Electricity is down over 10% from last week (from 60kWh to 53kWh) and is at a new all time low for daily average (7.6). Gas is also down over 10% from last week (from 91kWh to 80kWh) and is the lowest daily average (11.4) since my reading on 28th Oct (8.1kWh)Cheryl0 -
Tell a lie I'm on an a borderline A for all users and an A for low rise flats. Couldn't have updated on Monday night when I submitted the results.0
