Just paid final bills for scottish power. So with Ebico now. The bills with ebico will be a lot cheaper without the separate standing charge.0

Hi everyone
I really admire all of you for doing your bit to save energy
Can someone please tell me briefly what this means eg.
D/E and how do you take part in this?
Thanks a lot
Fiona0 -
Hi Fiona,
D/E is a Carbon badge that is calculated on the imeasure site
We read our gas and electricity meters on a weekly basis (we each have different days/times, but should each stick as close to possible to our personal one each week), then enter the readings to imeasure. After a few weeks it will start to give you a carbon badge based on your readings against the other users of that site.Cheryl0 -
cw18 thanks a lot that was really helpful. :A
I will start reading this very soon, because I really want to reduce our energy bills as they are so expensive and of course to help the planet too!
Take care

I have edited my tariif to the one I am paying on Scot Power and these are my figures
Your household's total energy spend over the last 35 weeks is £458.54.
For week ending 3rd May, 2009 your household spent £6.42 in total.
Gas meter (cubic metres): £2.17 - Main electricity meter: £4.25
That was using 83 KW of Gas & 46kw of Electricity which is my lowest reading yet-obviuosly the weather is improving and the nights are getting lighter but am hoping some of the lower gas usage is down to the new boiler!Only time will tel.
My carbon badge is C against all users and D against same households & I am 34 out of 510 -
Slight improvement this week don't know how suspect I'm using laptop less and reading more. This time last year I was using a pc and 30 kWh when I switched to a laptop my electricity dropped by about 5 kWh.
18 kWh (£2.47) electricity and no gas this week and 9kg CO2.
Badges for last week are B overall and C for low rise flats look froward to nicer badges next week. 12 out of 46 on the ranking.
How are people with four in the household keeping consumption so low? I have visions of parents hiding game consoles.0 -
Couple of baths this week so gas up to 60kwh
Electricity down :j to 57 kwh. Need to find the right screwdriver to open my plug in meter..... want to find out how much this PC uses and the TV. Not that either of them would be used any less :rotfl::rotfl:
Badges for both this week are Bs again:j
15th out of 49 for last weekThere are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0 -
I'm a (C side of) D for the badge against all users, and a (D side of) C against all g&e detached properties.
Ranked 32/49 for the Carbon Club, which I think is higher than I normally manage, so pleased with that aspect anyway
Reading day for me is tomorrow...... But it's the ones for next week I'm worried about as elder DS has arrived home on leave (again!) today - so he'll be bumping up the electricity with gadgets and needing the water to be boosted for his numerous showers for the next 6 days :eek:Cheryl0
