sorry probably too much info:o
I've cooked chicken a number of times in my halogen and always get good results. Try cooking at 175c and turn the chicken over for 20-30 minutes to ensure it cooks evenly.0 -

I'd say yes. I have used casseroles dishes with lids in mine, not cast iron ones though, but if it fits inside, then it should be fine. I use the lower wire rack to stand them on, but you would do that in a regular oven, so there is no difference there.0 -

Which make did you buy? I've just bought the Mr T Flavourwave and am going to try some salmon steaks on Sunday.0 -
There's a Thaw setting on them, so you can defrost things. Otherwise I would say that unless it specifically says it can be cooked from frozen on the packaging, you can't. It's just like a traditional oven really.0

Hi Folks !
I've just pulled a JML Halogen Oven apart - because the mains cable was in a dangerous condition - having apparently pulled free of the cable grip.
Getting it apart was a major chore - very fiddly - but fortunately I am blessed with endless patience !!!
Inside it is VERY shoddily put together - and the cable grip, although present, hadn't actually been fitted across the cable - so the dangerous fault I went in to repair had actually been present when it left the factory.
The Halogen bulb is showing signs of 'splatter' from cooking food, so I'm wondering how long it will last.
Like many of the previous posters I'm having difficulty tracking down a replacement - I shall persist though.
It doesn't help that the JML website gives customer service email addresses that are defunct !
customer.services@jmlgroup.co.uk
seems to work - unfortunately clicking on the link on the website sends you to a different address that doesn't !
If I find a replacement, or if JML ever get back to me, I'll let you know.Gus.0
