Ooooh, thx Ariba - intersting...waiting to hear how your meal turned out, and what you cooked in it...
I did get one, on its way back to me now but hubby had to travel to another Aldi to get it. Hope that is a good sign if they sold out at first store.
Will be reading up more tomorrow to see what I can try in it first...Bless Martin's Little Cotton Socks. I thank him for giving us MSE. Look what its grown into!

Does anyone have one the small 3.5 litre or 7 litre halogens? I am curious to know how much food you can cook in one e.g. how many chicken breasts, can it take a whole chicken etc. I currently have the Nu Wave halogen oven but am having some surgery next month and it will be too heavy and awkward for me to lift. I was thinking of getting a smaller one and tbh as we are such a small family I think the smaller one could work better for us and save the Nu Wave for when we have visitors.
My first thought was that 3.5l would be too small but it is only a little bit less capacity than the 4l grande Remoska and that easily holds a whole chicken.0 -
Hi all could someone please advise me how to go about making toad in the hole please in the halogen oven, i just mastered it in the normal and it has now died lol.
Thanks for any help you may give0 -
I got an email last week from 'The Outlet Shop' who I had purchased a V Slicer from - theoutletshop.tv
They have a deluxe version of the halogen oven, it doesn't say it on the website, but when I got home, was chuffed to see it was 16l and 1400w.
It's slightly more expensive - £59.99 - than some of the copy cat models, but it comes with all the accessories plus more INCLUDING RECEIPE BOOK that I couldn't find included elsewhere.
Have used it a few times (it arrived in 2 days :T) already, I was already a sucker for halogen cooking after using it at a friends, to me it makes the food quicker, less greasy, tastes the same if not better than the oven, and its a lot easier to clean!
Happy Halogening

Hi,
PLease can anyone who has a 7 or 3.5 litre halogen oven give me some idea as to the capacity inside? I know various websites give the dimensions of the bowl but I want to know whether both of these will fit a whole chicken, or how many chicken breasts/chops/baked potatoes you can cook. Also do they come with a high and low rack like the larger halogen ovens? Do you find the reduced power makes it very slow to cook?
I would appreciate any general feedback you can give me abouth these small ovens. I already have a huge Nu Wave oven which I am very pleased with but I am having a hysterectomy next week and it is going to be too heavy and awkward to use so I want to buy a smaller lighter oven.....currently thinking of either a Prolectrix 7litre or a smaller 3.5 litre from Aspect-Two but open to any other recommendations. I am only cooking for one adult and one child but want to fit enough in to feed us both. Sorry board guides I know there is a dedicated thread for halogen ovens and I did ask on there but got no replies.
Thanks for reading, hope someone can help.0 -
I am thinking of buying one (halogen oven) and found one on Amazon for a smidgeon under £40......12 months warranty...but reading reading the reviews on there it would seem that if the bulb blows it's had it! Is this the case or can you replace the bulbs?:wall:Pronounced Bouquet, if you please!0

Just picked up the Daily Mirror today - and there's a Halogen Oven being advertised in there with the extender ring and accessories for £39.99.
Company is ukhs.tv.
Worth looking at!
BTW - I called them this morning, and they are selling the replacement halogen bulbs as well at £9.99
Can't wait for mine to arrive!!!0 -
Hi I have just received mine from Ideal world ..Item Number 144949..MistyHi. I've been waiting for the idealworld halogen to come on-air but haven't seen it, nor can I find it on their website... I don't suppose you could find out the item number for me so I can check stock and order? Also, what bits and bobs come with the idealworld oven? Any extras apart from the high and low rack?0

Tried my JML Halogen for the first time last week. I cooked a chicken in 1 hour 10 mins, quicker than a conventional oven. I'm not sure what size mine is as it doesn't say but the chicken fitted easily. It tasted fine though I don't think the flavour was as good or as tender as a chicken cooked in a convential oven but it was perfectly acceptable.0

im on to my 4th JML halogen oven in 14 months BUT id still recommend it to everyone!
My first was an xmas present from my dad from betterware, the bowl smashed whilst cooking
the second the plastic where the wire goes in melted
3rd was a bulb
4th is still going strong but its only been a month!
Ive been really really lucky, i got it through beterware they have replaced everytime free of charge and i get a new 12 month warrenty everytime its replaced too, just wish i didnt need to keep replacing them.
They are fab, i use mine for everything, main cooker gets use twice a month at the most!
I couldnt live without mine, if you are thinking of getting one then do BUT get it through a good company ie betterware incase in goes wrong!
