Table-top halogen ovens

That sounds quite a good size for me, I would be able to push it to the back of the worktop when not being used as I have 15 " clearance below the cupboards.
Thanks for the info
One more question.... can you adjust the temperature or is there just one setting ?
Hi
The temperature starts at 125 deg and goes up in gradients(?) to 250 deg. I have only had mine for a week but the general consensus is that you cook stuff at 20-50 deg lower than you would in a conventional oven. I absolutely loved the JML and we used it every day. This one was a little cheaper and I got the accessories pack for the same price as JML off Amazon. Very quick delivery too.
Don't take my word for it, but seriously they are one gadget that delivers!:)Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0

Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.0 -

You wont regret it. I find it very useful too for thawing things out. We had these frozen roast potatos and I found they were better and quicker if you cooked them after thawing.
Tonight I had my veggie sausages and jacket potato from my halogen oven. I am finding my Coopers one better than the JML but I can't say why exactly! They are very very similar and I suspect the only difference is that one has JML printed on it.
No matter, wonderful gadget!Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I'M DEVASTATED! I went to use my halogen oven tonight and the light didn't come on. I only bought it in January from Ideal World but I couldn't find the receipt so my husband took it to pieces to see if we could replace the bulb but unfortunately we can't. I'm going to have to get a new one because I'm lost without it. It seems a shame because I still have the stand, bowl, racks, and all the other accessories I wonder if anybody else has had their bulb go and can you just buy the lid because this is all we would need as the bulb and wires are all enclosed in this. I feel your pain, I honestly do. Same thing happened to mine but it was a year old. I kept the bottom with the intention of planting herbs in it (one day!). We sent the top to the tip. I have seen people trying to sell the glass bowl on ebay. You could use it in the garden on fine summer nights with floating candles. Just get another!:) ps. I made sure to keep the receipt of this one.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I have had to go and find a new halogen today (couldn't wait). I bought it from T J Hughes in Middlesbrough it's a Prolextric and it's smaller than the one I had but it will still be big enough as there is only my husband and I. It cost me 39.99 (AND I'VE PUT THE RECEIPT AWAY) it has a years warranty. I've kept my bowl and accessories because I've sent an email to Ideal World asking if I can just buy the lid as this houses the bulb and all the wires. Just got an automated answer saying I'll get an answer within 7 days. When I arrived home I turned on the halogen and it was like seeing an old friend. I'll let you know how I get on with it.

Forgot to say Hughes also sold 2 more halogens. One was 49.99 but I didn't notice the make and the other one was a JML at 59.990

I keep looking at the adverts for the table-top halogen ovens and I wondered if any of you out has one, and if so what are they like to use. Do they live up to the hype of the adverts?0

We bought one of these and its one of the best thing we have done! The food is great and the amount of electricity we have saved is immense. Only thing is the fan has just gone in it so we are looking for another.0
