I can't believe that even though am still panicked and bloody terrified I am smiling at some of these posts! You have been absolutely wonderful this morning and I feel far, far less alone so THANK YOU

I have to say that co-op and smile are really friendly and helpful for anyone who is going to them... I am really sorry I have to close those accounts, but have a loan with smile and a savings account for emergencies (empty for QUITE a while that one) and a CC with co-op.

Need to check the banks again just to be sure....

And how do I become an official member. I am going to be around for a while...!

I don't want to worry you unneccessarily and PLEASE someone correct me if am wrong but I have Virgin and A&L credit cards which are both MBNA which is why when I made a late payment to one, they both racked up the interest to the same amount. They can also see both balances and change address etc details for both when I have called them. But I am new and confused so verify this with someone who knows what they are talking about

I do remember someone in here having dealings with Nationwide and KPR and I can't remember the outcome or the person but will have a little search for you and see if I can find it.

I know obviously it is possible for companies to go for CCJs (not that common) and some even push for charging orders (again even rarer!) but two years in seems a bit off.

I take it despite the fact they have not accepted you send the payment anyway?

Welcome Very Silly and Scared I've only been here 2 days and I already feel less alone in my worries and I plan to stick around for the long haul and get this all sorted.

Please dont worry about the hassles, MBNA(Virgin) and Smile have been really helpful with me, I just seem to be HSBCs bullying target at the moment. Similar to yourself I have struggled to make the payments but managed it, and sometimes I wonder if I shot myself in the foot as they seem to have the idea "well you managed so far we can bully you to continue!" (helpful and sympathetic in financial difficulties on their statements ... yeah right lol) Also if you are concerned you can always change your number (like I intend to after it was mentioned on this board!) or give them your mobile number so you can see its them and not answer

I am starting to remember to tell myself I haven't done anything wrong, I had this credit when I was working full-time and my circumstances have changed and ultimately I can only pay what I can afford. I want to pay my debts, and as soon as my income changes I will be increasing payments with CCCS etc but for the time being I need their help & support!

Keep telling yourself that you are dealing with this and taking the step to look after yourself too and hang in there! :A

I believe they do work on commissions etc so you could be right. If it helps you put it into perspective I think I owe round about £16k spread through 6 creditors and the total they get per month is only about £80.

I suppose its the old advice really deal with them and take it one step at a time.
