I need some advice, though i hope i wont need to use it.
We've been with payplan since about July last year, hardly any of our debt has been paid off, its possibly increased. This is due to the fact that we had to do our own DMP for the 1st 3 mths due to not having paid anything to DFS, then payplan only got 3 full mths payment as my OH then lost his job.
Payplan then told us that tehnically they shouldn't be acting for us as we have no surplus to pay off our debts, but they agreed to take £11 of us, £1 to each creditor. I've just paid for this mth and they asked for an update on my OH's situation.
Now it could all change as he has a job interview today, but if the worst happens and he doesn't get the job then payplan don't want us anymore and advise us to go bankrupt.
Told us to go and see CAB, but i really don't wanna go bankrupt well actually cannot afford to as i don't have the money to pay for it.
Why aren't payplan happy to help us, surely £1 payment to each creditor is showing that dispite our lack of money where at least trying....

I can't speak for payplan as I have never dealt with any debt management companies, but I can speak as a DIY DMPer!
Have you considered doing it yourself? I did mine long before I discovered this site and without the back up that site can offer. I used national debtlines website, where they have template letters and even a budget calculator.
Maybe take a look at the site and boost your confidence and if you have any questions after just shout, or check out the DMP support thread as a few of us on there are now DIYers.0
