Re Aegis
I have phoned up CCCS and spoke to someone their asking about what to do about the postcard that I got the other day about them visiting me at home. The lady that I spoke to at CCCS said that they have never heard of this company and that I should phone them and ask if they are in house or a dca.
I phoned them to ask them this and the person did not really answer my question. They did want me to talk to somone one about getting a loan to cover all my debt. HAHA :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have found out that this company used to be called B P O services
I said no thankyou at this time, I did explain that I would not be on on Thursday for you to call. So I don't know if anyone is going to call then or not. I am at work all day so I am not going to answer the door when I get home and I am going to lock up all doors and windows. So they are NOT getting in.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

Having had some brilliant advice on this thread and the cccs 'ask a question' thread, I am going for the self-admin dmp rather than try trimming my budget and defeating the object to get a surplus for cccs to do it. I have debts of £59k but OH may be able to raise cash in a few months which might enable me to make full and final offers to 3 credit cards with luck.
I opened my cashminder account with coop and although i'm getting an electron card i will miss a cheque book a lot. My only hope is that Lloyds (who I am with now) won't know about my dmp and take away my debit card and cheque book. Would prefer to stay with them (I don't use my piddly £200 od facility - miraculously) but assume 6 months down the track when they merge with HBOS (big creditor) they'll exchange records...
Just wanted to add another thank you to everyone on the site. I feel officially at home here - just as well as i believe I may be here until at least 2020!

I find that worrying, since I emailed CCCS about Aegis twice (they seem to be managing my MBNA/Alliance & Leicester CC debt), several weeks ago! Don't they talk to each other? The first email they didn't reply to, then to the second they said there was no action they needed to take
My September statement did show interest at zero though, so fingers crossed...

hiya guys
i have not been on a lot lately since ive started back to work and you know getting back into a routine as such - but anyway now i am in a bit of routine will get back online a bit more
i just wanted to alert you all that am getting these pretty postcards they are a bit of a tactic that mbna for me have been using - they are very suggestive in the way they are going to visit you at home but really its just them, i had rma and nco chasing me for my mbna card debts and they did the same but i got them sent packing after i complianed very heavily at mbna at the tactics they used
ive even got my sars report back and even rma got scared of me that they returned the account back to mban, so i think aegis are the same outsourced company mbna use for chasing up clients to get more money
pls rest assured that no one will come visiting it will cost them money to do so, i m guessing its a bit of a tactic to scare you to calling them so they can then try and get you to pay something more - dont call them do everything in writing - paper trail is to your advantage!
im sad to hear of cccs not being aware of aegis, im glad im doing my own dmp im learning so much along the way and im taking a tighter control on whom im dealing with, thats just me on my way of dealing with creditors
but if nothing else ive learnt in all this madness, is unfortunatley, i dont take what im being told by anyone as gospel truth, i now insist all in writing - i will not talk to anyone on the phone, ive sent out letters to all creditors to contact by writing only , some have been stubborn but others have just accepted it, but i will no longer be bullied on the telephone by anyone as they did that at the early part of the year and i was very ill, and now with knowledge and being more consumer savvy, i will not accept the threats anymore, you cannot get more money out of me if there is no more money to give -
so what im saying to all is do what you have to do, take the advice you can off the charities but you have to be responsible on what you finally want to happen and if you are prepared to be harrassed in your own home, on your own telephone and in your own time or not, me ive learnt finally after so many sleepless nights and worry, im not prepared to be harrassed anymore and you have to get tough and deal with it because it does make you stronger in the long run.
sorry for my ramblings but i dont want others to experience what i have had in the past 6 months,
take care and keep happy ciao for now MAZ:jSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

I have, today, had a stupid stupid letter from Egg dated Oc t15 asking for information I have sent by Recorded Delivery on Sept 30
I have written back telling them what I think about their service for grieving relatives.
well i do understand a little more what you are now saying, yes it cannot be very nice for you to have to deal with idiots along the way
but all i can say is keep all in writing and keep records of their letters, your replies and the proof they have had your replies, i use the recorded delivery signed for and get the signature and date online from the track and trace royal mail site- so far okay for me 1st class about 1.08
good luck in all you do, and keep investigating your rights along the way too, i also on the www.consumeractiongroup.com site and there is a wealth of legal info there too you could investigate if you so wished
take care and catch up soon ciao mazSealed Pot Challenge member 1525

hiya catwoman . see my earlier reply today
im just appalled that they are actually going against oft debt collection guidelines in trying to offer you another level of credit and could possibly get you into further debt!
I would report them to oft, that will teach them to call you with such nonsence!
and i would also let cccs know thats the reason they called was to get a loan approved by you, yeah really that would be so helpful to anyone who is trying to get debt free
take care im sorry i sound so cross , but this is what i had off mbna and the likes of their outsourcing companies and we should not have to put up with such tactics!
have a good day ciao for now and i hope ive not offended anyone but ive lived through these tactics these past few months and its a horrible feeling and i dont want others to have to worry needlessly,

Hi all , hope you are all doing well,
I got my PPI refud chq yesterday so that will be going into the bank today £337, only just in time as I have to put the car in for MOT this week, had to call RAC out last week as it died completely - luckly only flat battery as I had left a light on Phew.....
RAC man checked everything over, said all ok, so hopefully will get through the MOT ok too, fingers crossed and everything else crossed.
Still waiting for Abbey on the Charges refund, they are reviewing my claim under the "hardship" clause..... £1048 so could really do with this coming off. Pay off a big chunk of my DMP.
Here's to hope ..... something I have regained since visiting this site.

I don't know what i'd do without this website...
Going to go for it today and write all the letters and get postal orders for £1 each sent off. Will feel happier then. My biggest problem is that i know Amex DCA are taking me to court as they will not do repayments at all and are threatening to get a charge on the house and/or make me bankrupt. That's the only one that gives me sleepless nights at the moment and dreading opening the post (which is why i haven't opened any of it for 3 days but i know my cccs dmp stuff is there so i will bite the bullet in a moment).
thanks again everyone.Lou0
