Thanks
I just put can no longer afford monthly payments due to change in circumstances.
Those circumstances could be down to income change, overstretched yourself on credit, everyday cost of living or probably like most down to the fact they can no longer afford interest or charges.
No one questions what you put in the box its just to let them know what type of situation you are in thats allDMP support thread member 211 :cool:I'm only here to get some medals......honest!0 -

hi can i officially join on here Rayday will be along soon to give you a number!
Have done the online CCCS debt remedy that recommended a DMP so ive filled in my details and clicked send!
can anyone tell me
a. when my first payment might be due? You decide this for yourself
b. if anyone from cccs will ring me or is it all online? No, it's all done online. You will receive a welcome pack in the post within the next few days, including an agrreement to sign and return to CCCS, plus a form letter which you should photocopy and send to each of your creditors. This informs them you are with CCCS and authorises them to discuss your account directly ith CCCS. If you want to speak to someone at CCCS, you can still phone them, of course.
Thanks!

Have just been catching up after a couple of days and have just seen a post from yesterday that made me gulp.
I had my interview with cccs, brilliant, but i had a deficit so am going to adjust figures so I can have small surplus to pay dmp.
Only thing is, I've just noticed someone talking about where to open bank account and the reply talked about not having an account linked to a creditor. I hope this means BEFORE you go for the dmp.
I have £8k overdraft with HBOS (and arrears on mortgage with HBOS) and my other current account with small £200 od facility with Lloyds. Now that they're merging, is this going to be a problem with a new dmp which will include HBOS and not Lloyds or doesn't it matter considering I already have the account?
Help!
And thanks naturally to everyone who is getting me through this hideous time...
Hiya!
Yes, you do need to have a current account which is not linked any any of your creditors. And I am not completely sure, but I THINK if you are on a DMP you cannot have an overdraft? I have just opened an account with Lloyds as I don't have any cards or loans with HBOS, Lloyds or Halifax. So they can't take any credit in my current account to offset any of my debts. I'd imagine most banks are the same in their procedures - I opened my account over the phone in about 20 minutes and within a week my debit card and internet banking details have all arrived. I wanted to get it all in place before my credit rating dies completely!!!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

thanks S & S - I'll ring cccs tomorrow to find out for sure. I can easily do without a £200 od facility with lloyds if i have to, it's peanuts compared to the others. I wasn't even going to mention it on the dmp as I'm not using the facility so it isn't a debt. I was hoping they wouldn't find out until the merger with HBOS goes through and their systems are on the same wavelength.
Maybe i should try opening a current account with nat west or co-op just in case. I'll try doing it online now.
Thanks!Lou0
