  • I know i've seen the answer to this on here somewhere, but on the CCCS form you send to your creditors, what should I write in box 6: Reason for change of circumstances since taking out credit agreement?

    Thanks

    Hi Andrew,

I just put something along the lines of "increased cost of living / overstretched on credit" - no-one has commented on it, and cccs show reason for debt="other" on my dmp online file. Fewer words, the better, imho!:o

On mine, it was that my wife had left me, but it doesnt really matter as long as you give some reason as to why, taken on more credit than you realised you could handle and didnt realise until it was too late for example.

Mine says "overstretched with credit" or something along those lines - no-one has ever queried or commented on this ;)

  • "Overstretched on Credit" it will be then :) Found the thread eventually, but it's good to get some more opinions from this thread. Can't stress how much these forums have helped me sort myself out these last few weeks :)

  • WOW!! Look how many newbies have joined since I was last on? A big warm hello to all of you  , this site is brill and will help you out no end with your queries (and you will have lots!!)

I had my review tonight with CCCS and I was bricking it!! But those people are fantastic, I feel like I am going to get questioned about every penny but they are so nice, I wish they worked for my creditors :rotfl:

We had to decide to go together on a plan and you know what? I finally feel I can breathe ;) now we can finally face the music to the tune of f, f, f (still hard to say! :o ) fifty fasand pands!!! We didn't spend all that, most of its built up interest and charges over time (you know the score  ) but its me and him against the world now :rotfl: and I think I'm going to be on here for at least 8 years  still better than the 10+ I originally thought  so at least thats something (is that something to be proud of? 8 years? I don't know)

Everything been quiet here since DMP journey, had the usual letters like everyone else but Halifax seem to be our worst one so far, still charging la-la amounts of interest and charges. I just wish we could delete the creditors from our DMP list who don't want to play ball and pay more of the ones who are helping us out the brown stuff.

take care all of you xxxxx

Have just been catching up after a couple of days and have just seen a post from yesterday that made me gulp.

I had my interview with cccs, brilliant, but i had a deficit so am going to adjust figures so I can have small surplus to pay dmp.

Only thing is, I've just noticed someone talking about where to open bank account and the reply talked about not having an account linked to a creditor. I hope this means BEFORE you go for the dmp.

I have £8k overdraft with HBOS (and arrears on mortgage with HBOS) and my other current account with small £200 od facility with Lloyds. Now that they're merging, is this going to be a problem with a new dmp which will include HBOS and not Lloyds or doesn't it matter considering I already have the account?

    Help!

And thanks naturally to everyone who is getting me through this hideous time...
    Lou
