Hi. I had a tussle with Nat West too. They served a statutory notice on me for a unsecured debt of £20K. It really wobbled me and, after some serious thought I was lucky enough to borrow from family and settled. Not something everyone can do I know and, I won't be able to do again. I still owe debts of over £50K. I think in my case, because I'd been with Nat West for over 22 years they knew me financiclaly 'in side out'. As I earn a decent amount I think they thought I'd find the money from somewhere, which, I did, so a result for them. I feel sick now that I buckled under the strain, It was right at the start of my dmp period and, If I had my chance again, I would have stuck it out. Easy to say once the horse has bolted.0

Well, what do they say about the lull before the storm. All has been very quiet for us over the past few weeks. However, had a letter from Nasty West this morning refusing our DMP (which we have been paying for nearly a year now) and stating they are going for a charging order on the house.
I presumed they had to send a CCJ claim form first.
From reading other posts, it appears Nasty West are getting Nasty!*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0 -

Jvic28, it's about £16,000 on a loan and £2,500 on an overdraft (they haven't sent any statements in a couple of months so not sure of exact figures which is rather frustrating and they ignore requests for balances).*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0

Ok. Hopefully as I owe under £5K I'll be Ok. I had online banking and stopped my statements myself as I didn't need them. However, when I started the DMP they cut my online banking and haven't been sending me any correspondance whatsoever, even though I wrote to them and asked them to send me statements. I called them to ask the balances which they gave me over the phone but they used that as an excuse to get me to pay more (they clearly can't read as they should be fully aware I can't pay more)DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

RBS (Mint) did that to me. Stopped my online banking then wrote to me saying they wouldn't send statements but that I could opt in for paper statements by using online banking
Thing is, their text message balance request still works so I use that sometimes.
Other than that, I get a £2 credit report to check some balances (especially my mint loan) - just check the month it was last updated and then work out if my figures match theirsworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I think that's so out of order tho. How can they expect us to take responsibility for our debts if we don't even know what they are. I have no idea if Natwest have added interest or charges. They are just plain difficult.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

I myself am panicking about the onslaught of calls! I have missed one cc payment this month only (mbna) and today received 3 withheld calls, I answered to hear a loud beeping noise...no person...here we go
Something I wanted to ask all you learned dmpers is: my plan begins 1st Nov, I should have new bank receiving tax credits by this friday..3rd..but when do I sign and send in all paperwork to cccs? My first major missed payment will be to my bank for their personal loan on 12th!!!!! its a bit hairy...dunno what to do? i read on here somewhere that cccs are hot contacting creditors, but obv i need to ensure new banking set up before i let on to existng bank that i am in trouble.
help if you can folks...

Hi Guys
Just an update on my situation.
I was originally going to go down the CCCS/Payplan DMP route, however after confessing all to my parents I have been bailed out. I have to pay them back but I think I have learnt a valuable lesson about credit cards and the damage they can do.
Would just like to thank everyone on the site who has supported me and answered any questions I had.
Thanks guys you are a credit to this site.
Wish everyone luck with their DMP's.
