    SLOWLY lol!
Car is a definite right-off, will get approx £50 scrap for it which we will do in the next day or so, have cashed in tax disc so will get 5months back in about 2 weeks but finding a car for our budget is the hard one! Rang up about one locally on ebay but was too late sadly. Hit the phone again tomorrow so we'll see. Will let you know how I get on!

    Hi all.
I have lots of bank charges to reclaim and just wondered when was the best time to do this.
I have just started a DMP with cccs and obviously dont want to rock the boat any more than necessary with my bank who are one of my creditors, but the money owed would really be helpful going towards debt etc.
    What have others done?

The claims with the banks are still on hold until the case is sorted, so, although it is still a good idea to get your claim in the queue, it could still be worth waiting until your DMP is in the swing.

  • Mmm, I am going to wait to put charges claim in until this cccs plan is fully up and running, no point putting a spanner in the works with my bank, they are already going to hate me when they realise I have ditched them!!! lol

Got few butterflies today, just putting my letters in envelopes with their paltry cheques ( £1) and getting on the road to admitting I couldn't cope any longer.
I can honestly say without this site and dmp mutual support thread I think I would have bottled out of this and carried on trying in vain to pay everyone!

Thanks from the heart of my bottom :):) for all the interesting support and factual comments which keep peeps like me on the right track.
Hope you all have a great day,
    xx

Just to add Kudox, Credit Card claims are not on hold, so you can claim for them. Whilst your setting up your DMP the CC Companies are likely to continue to pile on the charges so it's worth waiting until they settle down and put in a claim for the lot.

  • Does anyone know if I should include my token payment to my creditors in with the cccs cover letters? It isn't clear from cccs if this is the case.

    Help!!!

This is what we did, it saved us having to send out lots of different letters to the same people. All payments seem to have reached creditors ok!

Actually I wanted to know this too ... my existing payments to my creditors are up-to-date (as at the point of my sending out my CCCS cover letters), and I wondered if I couldn't just make my next payment (while waiting for the DMP to be fully in place) by online payment from my new bank account? Is this not accepted, do I have to actually send it in the post to the creditors??
