Thanks for that. We havn't got a password through from cccs yet to access online, so might just pop a copy in the post to them.

If you go into the cccs site and click on the "access my dmp" button, there's an option in case you've "forgotten" your password - I clcked on that and they sent me one via email automatically. I never did receive one by post!!:D

  • :hello:Hello, I am a newbie - please can I join?

Husband and I set up a DMP with the CCCS in May 08 and would just like to offer support to all the others.

We have been very lucky with some of our creditors, they have agreed straight away and stopped all interest charges.

Some, however, we are still having problems with. We recived a Court Claim form from Natwest yesterday, it is quite a bit  but I am sure we will sort it out!
    Anyway, hello to all!

    hi all
I have not posted for a long time but i do browse the boards still.
I have been on dmp with cccs now since june08.
All is going okay but our budget is really tight, we have adjusted this one and all creditors were okay, except Lloyds.
Back to Lloyds i have regular kept them updated as they review every 6 months their lack of internal communication is disgraceful. I was assured by an advisor 2 months ago that everything was fine and that i had to ring them in January to make a new arrangement again. I felt i was getting somewhere with them at last.
Well had a lovely letter yesterday threating me with mha collections and solicitors and i had rang them the day before and they told me not to worry that i was on arrangement and all is okay.
I am afraid to say i cried because of this all yesterday mainly due to frustration of it all and the strong wording of the letter. I can easily see why people throw in the towel when dealing with Lloyds. I have now decided i am going to write a strongly worded letter about how i feel and see what response i get.
sorry for the rant but they get to me and i dont feel like I can keep this up with lloyds as our dmp is for long term 16 years, why cant they be like other creditors not once have we heard from rbs and when i rang them they said fine you are paying no problem.
will try to post more on boards have been having time out and trying to forget the mess we got in but still surviving.

    well bye for now
good luck to all on start of any new dmp journey.

  • I am just in the starting phase of setting up a DMP with CCCS. I have filled out the online SOA on their site and they have sent me a form to complete and a form for my creditors. Now how long does it all take to set up, Do I put my own date in that it will start??

I want to get the letters sent asap with a token payment (cheq for £1 I was thinking??)

At what stage should I set up another bank account?

    Thanks

    Nikki

    Hi there!

Sorry to butt in, just wanted to give you my experience with my bank (BOS).

We are due to make our first payment to cccs on 10th October. My main creditor is BOS cc, £7600 and I also have a £500 OD with them. I am in the process of changing bank accounts to The Co-op. Unfortunatley, last Wednesday BOS wouldn't let me access any of the cash in my account, I had over £200 in there (to go towards ccccs, gah!!) and I can't touch it. I think this may be because of the OD but I sooo wish the very first thing I'd done was open a new account.

Hope the same doesn't happen to you, I just didn't think it'd happen so quickly. It still makes me simmer with rage when I think about it lol!!

    Hi and Welcome,

I've been on a DMP for a few months about 3 or 4 and have debt with Natwest, just shy of £5 (personal loan and overdraft) and am a bit worried as you've just got a court claim. I haven't heard anything off them since before I started the DMP, not one letter. How much do you owe them if you don't mind me asking?

    Thanks

Hey all - Due to make my 1st DMP payment 1st Oct. Its going tobe very tight this month (VERY) as the little we had put by for Car tax etc has been eaten up with food increase, petrol & a jump in our DD for gas/Elec (argh!). Have sorted my budget now to sort these but our car is in for MOT (now!) and we are awaiting a call to see how much its going to be. Im hoping beyond hope its going to be a pass otherwise I'm not sure if we can make our 1st payment. This is a ridiculous start and we've been fine with the budget - no overspending (on the absolute minimal budget CCCS will allow) etc, but to not be able to make the 1st dmp payment (!). If needs be - would CCCS allow us to pay our creditor a token on 1st Oct and contact them all to say DMP start date has been revised and will start Nov 1st? (As I've typed this message I have had 2 missed calls from 2 different creditors !!!).

Am REALLY worried if we cant make the first payment CCCS will not allow us to continue with the dmp. Its a terrible start and look crap.

Wish the phone would ring so we could see how much the MOT bill will be. Need some moral support because Im sat here on the edge of tears which Ive not done since first speaking to CCCS.

    Thanks

They have said they want to get ths debt secured against the house and that is why they are doing this. Hubby spoke to the CCCS this morning and they said they appear to be doing this more?
