  • Hi tranceaddict, here's the advice I got from Jvic on how to get the account details... if you can't get them this way, you can pm me and I'll send them over (I'm not sure whether cccs would allow details to be posted:o ). For some reason the account number is different from the one on the transcash slip, which confused me!

Hi, Got the details from the form, thank you, as you say the account number is different from whats on the transcash slip, but hopefully that should be OK shouldn't it?

Anyone else done it this way with success?

  • I am just in the starting phase of setting up a DMP with CCCS. I have filled out the online SOA on their site and they have sent me a form to complete and a form for my creditors. Now how long does it all take to set up, Do I put my own date in that it will start??

I want to get the letters sent asap with a token payment (cheq for £1 I was thinking??)

At what stage should I set up another bank account?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Not sure how long it takes to set things up with CCCS, but with Payplan, they had all the paperwork sorted with me within a week. So I imagine CCCS are pretty quick aswell as lots on here recommend them.

Regarding the bank account, get it done as soon as you can. Assuming that your current bank is one of your creditors, don't tell them about your DMP until any salary/other income is safely in your new account.

No one is really sure about the Lloyds / Halifax situation. I'm in the same position as you, but fortunately also have an account with Abbey.

Personally, I'm not taking the risk with my Halifax account and have closed it. Lloyds have been less than sympathetic to my situation and I don't want them helping themselves to my money.

Having said that, the full merger will probably take months to complete, so you should be ok for the moment.

  • I'm now in charge of the budget as a lot of our mess is OHs fault. (Well we did it together but he tipped the boat over - big time!) He doesn't seem to be taking this whole thing seriously enough. He keeps hintng about more beer, getting take aways and has been spending (just bits) of money he doesn't need to such as treating kids to expensive snack etc. while I'm counting every penny. I suppose he's not 'there' yet but we really have no choice!

    Hi guys

I really should be reading over the forums to get the answer to my q but I've been struck down with an awful sickness bug for the last 3 days and will be heading back to bed after I've posted this :(

I got a default notice through the post from Egg today, do I need to get in touch with Egg about it, via letter or something? And do I need to send cccs a copy of the default notice?

Thank in advance and sorry for my laziness!
    Hi Markey77

    Hope you're feeling better.

DH received default notice from Egg and just emailed Payplan to let them know. That was in July and the only thing we've received from them since was a letter in August telling him that his account had been terminated!

Don't know if CCCS require copies of letters but Payplan seem quite happy for us to email them with details of any correspondence we've received.

Thanks for that. We havn't got a password through from cccs yet to access online, so might just pop a copy in the post to them.

Feeling slightly better (don't think being pg has helped!) and 2 of the 3 kids down with it too, been a miserable week and weekend here, esp as the sun in out for a change!!
