Hi guys
Posted this on the main board earlier this morning but it's slipped away down the board with no replies, thought I'd copy and paste onto here too. I'd be grateful for any help at all
Just need a bit of help. When we initially sent our paperwork back to cccs at the beginning of the month (all recent statements, wage slips etc), I put the wrong tax credits thing in, it didn't actually say the amount we get. Cccs rang up, pointed out my mistake and asked me to send out the correct bit, which I did almost 2 weeks ago. I've had a letter from them this morning saying they hadn't received it ad assume that if they don't hear from us soon, that we don't want to do it anymore.
I phoned them, they asked if I had sent it to the DMP Processing Team, which I hadn't as no one had told me to. The thing is, argh I'm so stupid, I sent the original one off, not a photocopy and I don't have any other proof to send them. The only thing we have is bank statements and my OH doesn't want to use those as he has his car on finance (he really needs his car as he works 35 miles away, night shift) and didn't wnat to include it in the dmp (is that really wrong?).
Now I just feel really frustrated by it all and in a mess again. I just don't know what to do now. Does anyone have any advice? Please don't shout at me for not including the car, I know it was wrong. Feel so miserable now, prob my hormones aren't helping lol.

Balance outstanding 298.00
TOTALSMonthly CCCS payment 212.00Payments made to date 424.00
Total outstanding debt 15979.91
Now I know you probably dont NEED all of that information but I thought it might help others to see the amount of debt owed and the payments currently being made against each one.
That is not, unfortunately, the total of our debt because we owe family £2200but we pay that separately within the budget agreed with CCCS so that balance is coming down but is not included in the DMP with the other creditors.
Sorry it's such a long post. Hope it helps in some way, especially for those of you just starting out. The phone calls have all eased off except for HSBC!
Have a nice day now

...
Please don't shout at me ...
Hi Markey77 - no one is here to shout at you ... unless you really want them to?!
Could you call CCCS again and just tell them that unfortunately you had sent the original by mistake and that you dont have another copy - and just see what they say to that? I didnt have to send evidence of my Tax Credit award, just wage slips and information about creditors.
Do you have online banking and be able to print out a page that just shows a TC entry with no other unwanted details showing?

Did my cccs dr today and they are sending out the pack
from the info I gave em they tell me I have 105pounds to send them each month will they accept this? It looks rather low to me
And is there anything I can do before the pack gets here?
Hiya, well done on taking those first steps. You will find that each creditor is different and whether they accept your offer of payments remains to be seen, some will straight away, some wont and continue to try and pressure you into offering more - but stick to your guns - the budget you have created with CCCS is for the purpose of you being able to live reasonably whilst still dealing with your debts and, for some of us, it's a really long road and you have to be realistic about what you need to live on (without resorting to any further credit).
One of the things most people need to do whilst getting set up on their DMP journey is opening a new basic bank account with no credit facilities. For example, I banked with Abbey and had an overdraft to be included in my plan so that meant I needed to open an entirely separate account (I got an Easycash account with Halifax) otherwise Abbey would be able to deduct money straight from my account when my wages went in. If you need to change your bank, you also need to check that none of your other creditors are linked. For example, if you currently bank with Abbey and you owe them money and you are thinking of moving to Halifax - make sure you dont have a HBOS credit card/loan etc.
There is a link somewhere (RayDay - where are you?! She knows everything!) but I've got to dash off. I'll try and find it for you (if you need it) when I get back later).
Keep posting and let us know how you are getting on.

Thanks, I will see what oh says about it all when he gets up. Was thinking about just printing off the statement from online banking. OH will have to do that as I think his account is paper free.
Thank you for not shouting lol - I just thought leaving the car off was wrong and I hate being dishonest ( I am totally OTT sometimes!). Feel lots better about it all now, I'm sure we'll get round it. I think I was just disappointed as i was expecting the welcome pack, not a letter saying we're no further forward!Starting DMP with CCCS 1st October 2008

We didn't include our car with our DMP. CCCS knew about it and the finance was included in our outgoings. We have been on our DMP for six years this month and the car was paid for long ago. The good thing is we still have it - prior to DMP we would have changed it a couple of times by now...
Hi Tass!
Thanks for that, you've put my mind at ease! We just couldn't afford to lose the car as OH would lose his job and I do like to worry LOADS about stuff!!Starting DMP with CCCS 1st October 2008

Firstly Rayday well done on your school news.....I would very much think (100% sure) that as a contract is being prepared it is being paid, hope so! Keep us updated....
I posted a few weeks back about rental check as I was looking for a cheaper property and was worried abouth the 'credit checks'.
Well good news! I have spend the last few weeks looking for something and have found a lovely house which is an amazing £500 cheaper per month and the council tax is £40 cheaper a month. :j More good news, the credit checks came back fine! Think they were looking for CCJ or BRs.:j :j
Now the tricky bit.....As this is my 3rd month on Payplan, do I tell them about my savings now, or wait for my review and but the savings away for a 'rainy day'?(or Christmas) Advice greaty received.....
Now the bad news....I have come home to a nasty letter from HSBC.
They have been ringing constantly for the last few weeks and we have told them we are with PP etc...they know this but will not accept the DMP as the payments are too low for them.
The letter today is a FINAL DEMAND. We have 14 days to pay in FULL or let them have a satisfactory proporsal for repayment by instalments or otherwise.
If no ACTION will be taken throught DEBT COLLECTORS or SOLICITORS and my may be taken to COURT.
Lots of Captial letters in bold on the lettes!
Has anyone else had one of these, do they mean business or is this a last ditched attempt to get us to pay more before passing to a DCA? If so, would the DCA be more accommodating? Hubby wants to call them tomorrow, but not so sure??
XXX
I have had the same nasty letters from HSBC which were followed by deadlines for payments plus further extended deadlines. I then received documents for a managed loan (which I duly ignored as per advice on here and from CCCS) and have this morning received a letter from HSBC asking me to contact my very own dedicated debt counsellor who will "do all I can to help you..." Hmm, I will be interested to see how that works! This letter has been accompanied by a barrage of calls but I have yet to see how my lovely counsellor can help. I will keep you in the loop but for the time being think that maybe the letters are a last ditch attempt to get you to pay.0 -

They normally try to sell you a managed loan it is a HSBC tactic. So I suppose that makes them more of a sales person - now isin't that a suprise0
