@Angelcake - make sure you remove your telephone number from HSBC online banking, might make the calls stop at least (worked for me :o )

    hi guys,
just wondering what others have put down on there budgets for clothing and footwear and food as have been contacted by cccs to say these seem low, they want to clarify before they set up my dMP properly. Did the online debt remedy so did the budget myself.
Theres only two of us so not sure whats a reasonable amount for either really and it's only me going on the DMP but obviously I still contribute to this stuff.
Just been reading back through the posts of last few days can't wait now for everything to be up and running.

HSBC are my biggest creditor and I get 4-6 calls a day (no longer answering them as dmpstarts 1st oct and sick of telling 30,000 abusive people this!). have just deleted my details - fingers crossed!

  • Morning Folks, hope you are all well.

Droyds are not playing nice and have sent me a letter telling me that they are "in the process of preparing court documents" etc.

Of course I'll let CCCS know about the "threat" but I was wondering whether I should use one of those CCA request letters and start fighting back with them. The total sum outstanding to Droyds/Vertbaudet is £354.31 and I dont dispute the debt with them - I just want them to accept the payments that are being sent to them via CCCS.

My question is whether I send the CCA letter (when I can find one!) to Vertbaudet or do I send it straight to Droyds?

Can any of you help me with this?

    Thanks

    Sx

  • Hi everyone

I only seem to come back on here when I need help at the moment - and I could do with some more advice/moral support again!

My DMP seems to be going OK, nearly 6 months in now and most creditors have accepted without any problems. MBNA haven't, and I'm expecting problems with them. They've threatened me with court but the letter says "may" take court action so I'm hoping they go the DCA route first.

But I've also got two creditors for smallish amounts who are being even more of a pain than MBNA.

Both of them seem to ignore my letters - sent recorded delivery - telling them I'm with Payplan and keep writing to me saying I'm not responding to their letters. I have just written to one telling them this is the 4th time I've told them I'm with Payplan but don't expect to get anywhere this time either. The other has sent me a letter saying the level of payment I'm making is unacceptable - no mention of Payplan anywhere or acknowledgement I'm on a management plan.

I am starting to get annoyed with the pair of them now, there's no way I'm going to phone them up to discuss this so I'm thinking of writing a strongly worded letter to them both. The problem is I'm no good at anything like that - can anyone offer any suggestions? The payment they are getting is low, I agree with them on that but it's pro rata across my creditors and these two are owed the least. I'm hoping to save enough to pay at least half of these amounts off over the next few months anyway.

  • Hi guys

Posted this on the main board earlier this morning but it's slipped away down the board with no replies, thought I'd copy and paste onto here too. I'd be grateful for any help at all :)

Just need a bit of help. When we initially sent our paperwork back to cccs at the beginning of the month (all recent statements, wage slips etc), I put the wrong tax credits thing in, it didn't actually say the amount we get. Cccs rang up, pointed out my mistake and asked me to send out the correct bit, which I did almost 2 weeks ago. I've had a letter from them this morning saying they hadn't received it ad assume that if they don't hear from us soon, that we don't want to do it anymore.

I phoned them, they asked if I had sent it to the DMP Processing Team, which I hadn't as no one had told me to. The thing is, argh I'm so stupid, I sent the original one off, not a photocopy and I don't have any other proof to send them. The only thing we have is bank statements and my OH doesn't want to use those as he has his car on finance (he really needs his car as he works 35 miles away, night shift) and didn't wnat to include it in the dmp (is that really wrong?).

Now I just feel really frustrated by it all and in a mess again :(. I just don't know what to do now. Does anyone have any advice? Please don't shout at me for not including the car, I know it was wrong. Feel so miserable now, prob my hormones aren't helping lol.
