Oh Chev I am sorry to read of your emotional turmoil. :( Can't think of anything to add to the insights above, but I very much hope that you and OH can talk about it again without upset, once you've each taken in the other's point of view. Hopefully you can reach understanding and agreement - that does not involve breaking up your family.
Am keeping all digits crossed for you. :)

Hi guys thanks for the support, it means alot.

I have calmed down a bit now, but I was very shocked and upset at the time, about how we were viewing this trip back.

The annoying thing is, is that he doesn't want to rush around. He wants people to come and visit us. Ok I can see his point,. We knackered ourselves last time trying to fit in seeing so many people.

BUT it takes 2 days to get to the UK and pretty much 2 days to get back. We are planning to drive down to Spain. Even if we get the Santander ferry that is a day each way. Would take longer if we went via France. On the other hand going via France means we can see 3 sets of friends on the way to or from Spain. But that would take longer, say 3 days each way? Plus at least 3 days for the wedding (day before, the day and the day after).

So already we are on 2+3+3+3+2=13days. And that doesn't include spending ANY time with my mum, or my sister and her new baby, or my special aunty, who I must see as she is very frail now. Allow a day each for those and that is 16 days already ie more than 2 weeks.....SIGH.

In other news had a bit of an up and down weekend. My two DS's have decided not to do Surf Lifesaving this season, but I want to still help out so went there on Sunday. And went over on my foot. VERY painful. Now it is just a big bruise on the top of my foot, but the swelling has gone down. Still hurts like a bi*ch though!

However cos I was sitting at the computer alot resting, I have also found a job to apply for. Working in a Library woohoo! I am praying I get an interview at least for it, as I would LOVE to work in that environment, being a bookaholic. So positive vibes guys.
