I was a bit mean and when the bf came round on Tuesday night I was super friendly and gushed about how they would be like a proper married couple and how romantic it was and so on... He loooked like a rabbit caught in the headlights and the next day she said he told her that she would be better staying at school and that he had already arranged for his mate to move in:rotfl:

What a fantastic tactic RS - well done you! :T :rotfl:

quick wave to you all. ;)

not done a lot again today - i went to playgroup with ds's this morning, so the morning routine was done really early to get out the door. We were given a bag of fruit to take home as they had a healthy eating grant, so i arranged to go to my parents with my sister, and we made banana splits for the kids, then by the time we had done it was about 1:30 and both boys were dead on their feet, so we came home via the petrol station, and the boys have had a couple of hours kip each.

I have caught up on emails, done some online surveys, sorted the post, got a load on in the WM of kids clothes (mainly next size stuff for ds2 - can't believe i am sorting 3-6 month clothes already when he is only 6 weeks), sorted tea for ds1. Also did some sorting of the online banking - wrote some cheques for next months nursery bills etc. I had an amazon listing session last night too. I am getting there very slowly. I would have done something more useful while the boys were sleeping, but both cats were in, and ds2 is wriggling so much he nearly rolled off the settee.

I need to have a good tidy of the toys tonight as we have a home visit from someone from the surestart centre tomorrow afternoon, and i don't want to look like a pleb. Can't believe how quick this week is going again.

lil-me how did the drs go?

mumtomany bit of a drastic way to declutter- glad no-one was hurt as all that is just stuff. not pleasant, but it could have been a whole lot worse.

pigpen happy anniversary for yesterday. i would go with the c and g course, as i don't see the point in doing things without being able to put it on the cv, and you sound a bit bored with the other course.

Ds1 demanding to go on the computer - 20 months old and a bossy little thing - he wants to look at barney again - my fault for showing him yesterday when i got completely fed up with the DVDs

Right have caught up with the thread

Lil-me - how did it go at the doctor's?
Mum2m - what a dreadful experience - but now you're tidy, this thread will help you stay that way.
Dusty - at least the mouse was dead - it's the live ones that are far more difficult to capture and evict.
Cups of tea and hot toddies for the poorly ones.

Nice day at work today - achieved quite a lot. Weather has deteriorated so it's a sort of snuggle up in the armchair type of evening. I think I shall do that and take the second cushion cover with me to do. It's a night for stew as well so I'll go and look in the freezer for some beef. Or sausages if there's no beef.

Confused Newbie hope you sort something which makes you happier x
mum2many what an awful thing to happen, pleased to hear you all got out ok, I do think one things always worth considering when choosing where/what to clean and that is to make sure nothing is a fire hazard.
Dusty well done for dealing with it, I am not scared in any way/shape/form of rodents, dead or alive, having reptiles means you aren't allowed to be, however my Mam is pleased now the snake is gone and the lizard has 'gone off' pinkies (baby furless mice) as there isn't any in my freezer.
recovering spendaholic that sounds like something I'd do :rotfl: well done!!! I am sure one day she'll stop being such a nightmare and appreciate you all a lot more
Michelle it sounds like little one is thriving, :rotfl: you'll regret showing Charlie on the computer, my 2 are whizz kids on the internet etc now and have ended up with their own as I got sick o sharing :o

Sat and yawned my head off in the surgery, GPs asked me to go back tomorrow for LOTS of blood tests inc liver, kidney, thyroid etc etc etc see if there is anything medically wrong or if I am just turning into a dormouse! She said until the results come through keep with the supplements and listen to my body but I did explain having 2 sons with special needs and assignments coming out of my ears, it's not ideal, I can't just fall asleep all the time (which is what my body wants to do!) She is an understanding GP, nicest I have met so far to be honest, said she knew she was probably 'prescribing the impossible' by saying I should listen to my body.

Interesting conversation at the park with someone who's partner is on the planning committee for the bringing of my sons SEN school to a mainstream site, she said they're hoping to have it finished by 2011 :D which is great news for DS1 as he'll be able to access more when it comes to academic studying (which he is good at in some areas, too good as they bring stuff from the senior school for him and he's in year 4) It'll hopefully be brilliant for him, I now know when we went to the meeting to view the school and the HT said 'we should have something perfect for him before he reaches his GCSE years but I can't say too much yet'. Access to mainstream education levels with SEN school support couldn't be more perfect!

DS1s in a strop because his Dad's gone to work with his DS in the car, the spares won't do as the game he wants to play is in it, so he'll just have to strop. He's of course in a worse strop as they've said he needs his nails cut, he hates that probably more than anything else in the world, he's currently nibbling on them every so slightly as he can't even face biting them off, we'll get there and no doubt the neighbours will think I am killing him as he screams so loud over it.
One day I might be more organised...........

GnB - MSE slows my flying down, is that what you meant? :rotfl: Internet as a whole is just running slow for me today

Lil_me - good that they are doing the tests straightaway, minimal flying in the meantime and yuk re keeping mice in your freezer. Dusty - well done on dealing with the mouse, I heaved at the thought

Recovering Spendaholic - like your style with DD1 and I hope she starts taking more care of hers and others possessions, don't think I'd be very good at dealing with that

Confused Newbie - think how many years you are going to be working for and go for something you enjoy

Mum2many - glad you were all OK and can see a silver lining
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

Thank you to all who post competitions & help the smooth running of the comps board
