Mine too, LO is at big school tomorrow for a morning in P1!! Cant believe she is nearly at school:eek:
and my DS2 in two weeks! M&S have 3 for 2 on unifrom so I got him to try on DS1 stuff yesterday to check sizes. I had to go and hide in the garden till I stopped crying. He will only just be 4 as well so he really is just a baby. Not sure what I am going to do with myself yet - I usually only work ten hours a week.

Dustykitten - I would have gone out for the rest of the day until someone else cleaned it up :o . I really do hate those mices to pieces.
    Bonsi - hugs and sympathy
Lil me - fingers crossed for this afternoon
Pigpen - I would be tempted to go for the C&G, if the tutor is rubbish you could always change back to the other course surely?
Lizziedripping - hugs, sounds like you have your hands full at the moment
    Lucifer - congratulations

I am off to make some cookies (the millies recipe - lovely, made some last night but DH took them to a meeting this morning). Then to attack Mon, Tue, Wed list.

Thats a shame. Does the current course cover everything you need to know or would you gain wider skills from the C&G?

I had better ring up and check the one I want to do at Hinckley is still available then. The only way we are going to afford anything approaching soft furtnishings/upholstery is if I make things.

Holly - I will join you for the HHC.

I really want to train to be a nail technician which I can do in the evenings. Two problems though, number one is that it would be two evenings a week for a year, which would put me under even more pressure than I already am and number two being that it will cost £300. Im afraid that it is a lot of money that hubby and I will have to tighten our belts to afford, and what if I am no good at it?!

Have you looked at possible grants/loans etc? I'd say go for it. No point in doing a job that you dont like :)

You can come do my nails and I'll offer constructive criticism!! .. how is that for an offer?

The college should have an access fund or something which you could make a claim for.. even if you claimed for childcare and part costs you don't HAVE to provide receipts etc for what you've spent the money on usually so it is worth a try.. also there may be some local business loans (we have women in enterprise over here) they provide small grants for women especially who are trying to start their own business and you can spend the grants on kit and training or whatever you like.. you should have a CVs there.. (council for voluntary services) They give advice on where you can apply for funding.. or depending on age the prince of wales trust might be able to help?!

Thank you skintscotlass. I am miserable at the minute and although Im in a job that pays an ok wage I cant go on like this. I feel like my life is a never ending cycle of sitting in traffic!

Just need to sit down with hubby and work out what it will mean for me to be out two nights a week. Thinking it would require a bit more assistance from hubby around the house
