Hello everyone - (((hugs))) to those in need. Bonsibabe - I can't believe how you are being treated by the army -it must be so frustrating for you.
Lil_me - hope you get something sorted at the GP's today.
Dustykitten - eek! I don't know what I'd do if I found a dead mouse - I think I would have to get a big spade from the shed and shovel it up and chuck it out the back garden.
Mudbath - hope you feel better today. You can get the E45 suntan lotion on prescription - my sister got it a couple of years ago.
I haven't done any flying today yet - took DD1 to school (to make sure she went!) which is a 35 mile round trip and have just made a cup of coffee. The downstairs looks really nice after yesterday's clean, but upstairs is a bit of a tip and I just can't face it at the moment..... DD1 informed me that she has lost her new glasses - the ones she HAD to get - D&G designer jobbies with variofocal lenses which cost £275 two weeks ago and which she persuaded her father to pay for. He is going to bust a gut when he finds out as he is on a very short fuse with her at the moment, given her current behaviour. She truly knows the price of everything and the value of nothing IYKWIM. Given that she took the sim out of my new Nokia N95 to put her sim in it, and then skipped out and blummin' lost the phone (left it in a taxi) and the fact that she took DD2's new £75 tennis racquet out and left that at the tennis club, where it disappeared, she is not in anyone's good books. She was threatening to jack in school the other day to get a full-time job in Boots (where she has a Saturday job) and then go and move in with the bf, who is the doziest waste of space I have ever met, in his student house. I was a bit mean and when the bf came round on Tuesday night I was super friendly and gushed about how they would be like a proper married couple and how romantic it was and so on... He loooked like a rabbit caught in the headlights and the next day she said he told her that she would be better staying at school and that he had already arranged for his mate to move in:rotfl:
I have got my sister and her carer coming this morning - she has learning difficulties and lives alone, but with care support staff who come in and help her, and the team leader rang me yesterday and said he wanted to come and "bring me up to speed" with her care plan, and given that they are making lots of cutbacks, I am half expecting him to tell me that her care package is being reduced or radically changed.
Hope you are all having a good day.Jane

Bonsi, Unleash hell!
lil_me.Good luck
Dusty you totally grossed me out with the mouse....can't stand foul smells, even the thought of them makes me gag._pale_
Not feeling very well today so decided to cancel the list and spend most of the day on the sofa with DS2 who is unwell too.
Will catch up on recorded stuff off tv and perhaps revise a bit for my very final test. (Knowing me though I'll just end up reading all the forums here....)

Recovering spendaholic take comfort in that one day your daughter probably will have kids of her own and they will avenge you!

Well I have moved my backside and done something. Will cross off on above post in a min.
Dead mouse - eekkk:eek: . Remember one weekend going into work and the office cat had left a rather large baby rat on the paper where his food is. I had to scoop that up and put it in the bin. The thought makes me go cold.
Lil_me - hope the doctor can offer some kind of reason for the tiredness/acheyness. Well done for making the appointment.
I am feeling all stressy - think its cos mum flys over to stay on Friday. May start popping the Kalms and see if that helps me get to sleep easier tonight;) . Will limit myself to just the one coffee today too.
Right off to check me list:D0 -

:rotfl: very good.
Yes I 'named' myself after our little black cat who was a kitten when I became a member. She was sitting on the desk while I was registering. She or fat fluffy cat will have brought the mouse in (probably her). They bring them in at least once a week but usually leave them by the family room door as a gift so are removed - it was the smell that freaked me out.
Still I have now cleaned every nock and craney on the floor, behind the AGA everywhere. Still worktops etc to go but need a little rest.
Making the soup next and then hope to do the rest of the kitchen before I go invigilate.
RS you have my deepest sympathy and upmost respect - you handled it really well re the BF. DS1 (14) lost his cricket helmet a couple of weeks ago and I made him pay for 2/3rd of the replacement. My kids are younger but only have really cheap phones as I don't want to be in the position of them loosing them and the whole cost involved. In fact I try to get everything I can second hand for them - bikes/cricket bat etc. I appreciate that this is probably much harder with girl of 17. Good luckThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
