Have you emailed them recently to ask a question?

I remember reading about a charge if you emailed them about something which could be found on their faqs.

The question was "what was the charge for" and the only way of asking is by email. Where have you seen this? Are you saying that every time I ask them why they have charged me, they'll charge me again? Can't believe this!

See their T&C here (look under Charges) http://www.just-dial.com/pages/tandcs_saver.asp
where they mention this fee. They only normally charge it if the answer is on their site.

No I meant had you emailed them about something else prior to the charge.

    hi

My TalkTalk deal is finishing soon free evening and weekend calls free for 12 months. I am going to ring them an tell them I want to cancel to see if they will extend it. Do anyone no any other company offer free evening and weekend calls for free.

    Mr. P.

I have just phoned OneTel to say that I would like to cancel my account with them, and go with JustDial. When asked what JustDial were offering, they immediately said they would match that (for 99p per month) but are also throwing in cheaper calls to mobiles. I asked for how long this contract would be, and they said for life. I will be called tomorrow, and will push for the 99p per month to be dropped.

I have followed Martins advice and signed up for both 1899 and Just Dial, I found that 1899 now offer 0p calls to national/local in the evenings and weekends! If this is correc this makes joining Just Dial a little pointless! I'm not sure if 1899 are using this as a promotion or it is going to be here for a while. Either way it is worth noting fellow MSE's!

Yes 1899 do offer free calls to 01/02 numbers from a BT landline, 24/7 and have done since they started, but they charge 3p connection, where as at E&W JDS make no charge at all ;) .

Stevwarn - if you look at the 1899 site closer you'll see that they make all calls to UK 01/02 numbers 0p at all times, not just evenings and weekends, but as pricefighter says they do make a connection charge of 3p per call - so do go ahead and set up Just Dial as well!!

I was having a 2 way conversation with them about the actual times for their evening and weekend calls which they were saying was different to their terms and conditions but, apart from that, zilch! Now, they just do not reply at all! Not good but until they charge me for something else which is unexplained, I'll stay with them as it's only £1. It's really not on though to charge for something that they refuse to explain.

Martin has got them to set to set up a special E-Mail address for MSE users, with any queries. It is mse@just-dial.com You might want to try that.
