  • Been stuck at home all day with 4 kids (2 age 10, 7 and 2),its been better that I expected though. I bribed them all into helping with the housework :D We tidied the bedrooms, sorted all their clothes, have had them do the dishes, WM on, BM on and hoover the sitting room. Their reward? HM playdough! We used 2 tsps of coffee to colour and scent it and they have been playing with it for 2 hours!

I've made tea while they are playing and am having half an hour in peace.
Then all I've got to do is clean the kitchen before OH comes in. I love half term! :p

Haven't had a chance to post today as I went to aqua aerobics this morning and then was supposed to do a campus today at the university today at 12 but the people I work for had left a message on my mobile while I was in the swimming pool asking me to come in straight away - well only got there a little bit earlier but ended up doing 3 hours work this afternoon, just proof reading, sending out prospectuses, phone calls etc etc. much needed money and as I'm doing a tour every day this week hope they'll need me so do a bit more work ;)

However it means I haven't done the washing up, washing or phone calls I'd planned to do this afternoon and have just come and flopped with my laptop :o

Dinner is fish bits and waffles and peas I think.

Other thing I'd planned to do today was look into ebay selling - really trying to decide if it's worth taking the plunge.

Hope you're all having a good day

The kids are back - and don't I know it!

WM going 12 to the dozen, arguing, shouting (It wasn't me!).
Fireworks going mental (and its raining!!) - which means the dog is going balistic!

And I can't find the paracetamol!

We are having the HM burgers for tea, with HM spicy wedges. And doing a french loaf in the BM tonight.

My BM's okay - its really nice, but not a fluffy as I was expecting it to be. French bread is supposed to be lighter, so giving that a go.

And my Jam from them BM has still not set. The recipe says it will be soft set - buts is not supposed to lollop about in the container is it???? I don't think I chopped up the strawberry pieces small enough.

Hope everyone had a nice day

I haven't been brave enough to try Jam in my BM yet. ;) Pretend it's meant to be like that and pour it over ice-cream or sponge cake for pudding!

PS: (yes, I am *very* well aware that there is a sort of contest going on (with the odd one or two ;) ) to be the first to begin the OS thread each day; and that my return has upset a certain few, who now refuse to acknowledge any and all kindness' I may show to them by referring to them in my posts - but, hey, that I've concluded is their problem and *not* mine ;);) ) :rotfl:
