    Morning everyone

Well, I've got my wedding dress. It is, obviously, gorgeous and the first one that I tried on! We went into two different shops, both with completely different service and I knew that I'd found my dress as soon as I tried it on. Let's just say that the price isn't very OS, but my mum didn't pass out at it which can only be a good sign! :) The lady in the shop where we got the dress was fantastic. She asked where it was going to be, at what time of year to try to find styles that worked.

My chief bridesmaid was also there with me and she started to try on some dresses for her and my other bridesmaid. Ah well, it'll all come in time!

I've got to sort out the slow cooker as I think I'm going to do an italian chicken type dish that is in the little leaflet that came with the SC. I'm sure it'll be delicious! :D

PP - I hope you're feeling a bit better now.

Snowy - Nice to see you back!

Going shopping again today. This time for bits and pieces. Then we might go and see (chief bridesmaid & I) Pride & Prejudice. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

    Vicky

PS I was going to write down "chief BM", but obviously on OS that would mean chief breadmaker!!!! :rotfl:

Yesterdays plans went out the window....I decided to paint the ceiling in the masterbedroom and hall/stairs/landing :rotfl: I managed to get 1 load of dishes done (plates etc, left the pans though again :o ), 2 loads of washing was done and then I set too on the painting. Starting around 11.15am and only taking 30 minutes out for lunch, then another 30 for tea and news, it took me until 7pm to finish the ceilings and walls  Our hall is now pure brilliant white all over and with no lampshades up it's like looking at the sun :rotfl: It will be getting another coat of paint, maybe in another colour but not sure yet, whatever happens I'll need another tin of white paint again.

Today DD is coming home from IL's but not until tonight. OH is driving up there from Wigan after work, grabbing some tea up there and then driving back so I don't expect to see either of them much before 10pm, 9pm at the very earliest but considering the roadworks on the M6  I actually sat and wrote out a list of what she has with her for OH so in theory nothing will be forgotten, especially as she insisted that I left her school bag/work/books up there with her. I was supposed to be going up as well but the house looks like a bombsite and I have ebay parcels to dispatch BEFORE DD sees whats in them. :shhh: There was no way I could afford to go to work with OH today and I can't afford the trainfare to get to Wigan to meet him either so I'm going to have a long and quiet day in working my bottom off.

Plans for today : Do all the jobs I should have done yesterday but didn't :rotfl:

Hello all. Been an odd few days in the soba household. We went to Pizza Hut on Thurs night for a treat! cos DD's school report was brill. That night DS (4) was sick for hours. So he was off school Thurs and Friday. Sunday I was in bed for 12 hours feeling much the same way, and yesterday DH was poorly too. To add insult to injury DS now has an eye infection which makes him look like there's a golf ball in there instead of his eye! Think we must need a holiday!
Nothing OS to report apart from BM is on and I must do some cleaning today as none done since Sat. Just fancied having a whinge. Apologies to all.

    Morning everyone..................

I feel very late on parade this morning lol.

My lovely daughter decided to let me have a lie in today, she normally gets me up at around 6 so 8 is a real luxury:j

Well today I plan to give the house a good do after the weekend, as I had a lazy one yesterday. The washing's more or less up to date (don't mention the ironing:p ), and I need to get the BM on today and make some cakes/biscuits as the tin has been emptied.

Liver & bacon for tea, and I might make him a steamed pud as a treat as he
will have had a long day today.

VickyA...Gosh I bet you're really pleased & excited re the wedding dress.

Scuzz.....Great news about the family i'm so pleased.

PP ......have a great time at the cinema

Queenie........As usual you inspire me to get off my pc and get something done. It's still a novelty to see you back on here after so long.

Brummiebabe....Midwifery would be just the thing I'd love to do if I had my time again, good luck with the choice.

(((((((((((HUGS ))))))))))))))))) and have a lovely day everyone

    Morning everyone,

Haven't posted regularly for ages, but I think I'm going to start. It helps me focus.
Haven't got much planned for today. DH has taken my car to work cause his is in the shop getting a new paint job. So I'm without a car for 3 days. I think considering the weather it'll be quite lazy days.

DD2 is in Edinburgh with Grandma, so just the 3 this week......
House could do with a good tidy but since they've all been at school full time I find it really difficult to clean and tidy with them around
I should give it a go though....loads of clothes on DH's side of the bed to sort and put away...
It's starting to stress me out just thinking about it..... :o

Hope everyone has a good day

    Morning all.

Queenie you have inspired me to get off my rear end and do something today, the kids may be home for the next 8 days but I will not let it deter me :D

PP Enjoy your day out, it's supposed to be a good film and laughter is the best medicine.

Scuzz - great news about your sister.

Frankie - do it in spite of them, I'm going to try ;)

Nicki you put me to shame, how do you manage to fit all that in in one day?

Vicki - I bet you will be a beautiful bride

Pink Fairy I hope your daughter gets much better very quickly

Snowy, you forgetting your password made me laugh. That's the kind of thing I would do, thank god for Roboform :D

Lots of hugs to anyone I have forgotten and who needs them, I got a wonderful nights sleep even though two of the kids have hacking coughs. I am going to buy some ginger today to try and ease their coughs, my eldest has had hers for weeks now.

The kids are playing on the computer in the dining room and all I can hear is gales of laughter, at least they're not killing each other, they are off to nanna's for the day tomorrow so at least I will get some peace then.

    Good morning all

Queenie- I'll echo all the thoughts of others....It's great to see you back!

SnowyOwl - Great to see you back too....and no I've not seen Ancasta for ages either....hope she's ok.

PP - I'm off to the cinema today too - hope you enjoy yours.

Had another lie in today - feeling much better tho - earache and throat feeling much better, obviously the best thing to do it just sleep.....shame it's not always that easy!

Nothing OS yesterday, in fact I mooched all day. Ironed a few shirts for DH last night and took up his new trousers. Had a lovely soak in a bubbly bath (curtosey of my free sample of lavender bubbles from the freebie board). Off out with a friend later and her sons, we're off to see the new Wallace and Grommit film - (my friends treat) and heading to pizza hut for a buffet lunch. Will be home about 4pm which means another day of nothing OS!

Working tomorrow with 2 all day kids and one afternoon one - we're going to make halloween cards, halloween cookies and some halloween jellies (thanks to tesco's cookie cutters and jelly moulds being so cheap).

Must away and get showered and dressed and at least attempt to run the hoover about, always feels nicer to come back to a tidy house.

    Have a wonderful day all.
