I was thinking on the lines of some sort of artichoke, given the shape and structure of the leaves, but I've drawn a blank on matching the colour

Guess we'll just have to wait for TM to tell us what it is :D

The one I bought is exactly that colour - it's so lovely.

You probably are on the right tracks, CQ - I had to hunt through several pages to find this colour - and I knew what I was looking for :D

BTW - you ebayers - were do you get your wrapping stuff from? I've just wrapped 2 sales and they were both big and awkward shapes so have used nearly all my brown paper. I don't want industrial quantities of the stuff, just where is your cheapest supplier of brown paper and packing tape. TIA

Ticklemouse - brown paper seems quite cheap at Ikea - its about 60p for 10 metres. It's good quality - I use it to wrap presents etc, but I have never put it in the post!

Well, it's called a pitahaya (or pitaya) and the insides look a bit like a passion fruit (although I haven't cut mine up yet) It's actually sat in the fruit bowl with 6 kiwi :) They were in Booths on offer for 85p I think and whilst it may have been an extravagance, it's not much really. I'm hoping to have it scooped out over ice cream for tea. I shall tell you what it's like later.

ps Is your chef coming back after halloween, CQ? :)

I don't use brown paper anymore - buy a large roll of value black sacks....they do the job much better and are waterproof to boot!

Reading your posts has help to cheer me up today. Am feeling a bit down as I have been told I now have a chest infection, and need to use my inhaler again. On top of that I am trying to reschedule my driving test which I am suppose to do at end of week. I got told by my driving instructor that I would need a doctors note so that I do not have to pay onther £45 for my test, however my doctor told me i need to tell the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) either in person, or get the DSA to write to my doctor directly. I have just been told the total opposite by the DSA, so I have emailed them asking for a reply to my query.:wall:

Thankyou for letting me vent my fustration, as I do not want to moan on at DH when he gets home from work (sayong that I probably will anyhow, but not as much:) ). Best go and rescue my Mum as she is currently keeping an eye on my DS.

    Cheers
