    Morning all.

Scuzz that is wonderful news, hope you hear from them soon.

For some reason I did not have a good nights sleep last night and was awake for half of it. Almost thought about coming downstairs and starting the day at 4am this morning but eventually nodded off at 5 only to be woken by the alarm (which I had forgotten to turn off) at 6.30. Whacked it hard and eventually fell back to sleep again and didn't wake up until DH came home at 9.15.

I now feel like poo and not up to much at all. Will go and wash my hair in a minute and hope that wakes me up. Put a pot of very strong coffee on too :D

Thanks everyone. Yes a huge relief. For everyone's info, travel operators are in talks today to get people home. Should be elderly and children first apparently. We should be getting an update in the next 24 hours

Will keep you posted as it could affect others on here too

    Good morning
Glad everyone's friends/family seem to be ok re Wilma.
Lousy weather here today, not raining at the mo but not good enough to put out washing, which is in the airing cupboard instead.
DS is out, the youth group have decided to paint the church hall, so that will keep them busy for the week!
A day to myself! What luxury!

    Morning all

DH went to work at 7.30am and I vaugly remember him going - he bribed DD's to stay in bed and watch telly until I woke up, suffering from a sore throat and ear ache and really needed to catch up on some sleep..the phone woke me at 9.20! Feel good now tho - despite the weather!

Tumbles tumbling, washings washing, house has had a 20min whip round and I've washed up the few bits that were from last night. DD's are still in pj's and have been watching telly all morning!!! Never mind - suppose it's good for them to slob out occasionally.

Toad in the hole for tea with roasties and veg as we didn't get a roast yesterday, will get some bread made and some cakes of some discription. DH popped to the market on saturday to get fruit and veg, they didn't have a big selection this week (typically) but he did get 32 apples for £1!!! Only had one bad one too. 2 huge cauliflowers for £1....will need to blanche what I'm not using today before they start to turn.

Mother gave DD's several "crafty" kits she'd picked up at bootfairs during the summer, so they want to do decoupage and plaster moulding this afternoon - sounds messy!

Hope you all have a wonderful afternoon...

    Morning everyone :hello:

Fantastic news for you scuzz, you must be so relieved. Here's hoping they are able to get some direct contact to your family very soon though *hugs* :A

Great news for you too Pink Fairy, glad your daughter is coming home at last :T

My eldest has been in hospital almost two months now and no idea when he might be allowed home, if anything things seem to getting worse than better at the moment, so we'll just have to wait and see :(

Well, I've no idea what I'm doing today yet, although I know what needs to be done, but I just can't seem to muster up the motivation to do any of it and I'm feeling overwhelmed at just the smallest of tasks at the moment. Doesn't help much that DS keeps changing his mind as to whether he's staying with me this week or going to his dad's, so meal planning and shopping is all up in the air at the moment.

Sitting here reading the boards and avoiding everything is all well and good, but it's not going to go away and the longer I avoid it the bigger the mess grows! I'm not even going to bother making a list of things to do as I know I won't do them and will then feel more guilty and waste even more time sitting here trying to ignore it all

Sorry, I'm a real old misery guts today :o

Hope you all have a better day, despite the horrible weather out there

Curry Queen. Hope your son will soon be well and able to come home.

Hope the day gets better for you. You're usually such an inspiration to everyone else.

It's getting a bit brighter outside and the sun's peeping through so hope it's same your way. The dark and rain and Monday morning! is enough to make anyone feel down and with no motivation.

Have a cuppa. We'll all join in and think of you.

Morning all.... a bit late but I have been occupied.

We were looking last night at the options for travelling to our freinds in the South West of France next year...... for some reason I happened to look at a caravanning site I belong to on the internet and someone had bought tickets on Eurotunnel with club card vouchers..... so I had a shuffty and BINGO for vouchers worth £44 I get tokens to the value of Wait for it........ £176 which means I only have to pay £20 for the crossing from our holiday money AND i have almost £50 left in vouchers towards my December shopping!!!!!.... whooooooooo Hoooooooooooooo.

Horrible morning, pouring with rain, dull and dank, do not want to do anything.... but I have to put a delicate load in for tonight......... and need to flick the duster round the bedroom. I left finger prints on the lid of the printer when I printer out the form for the tokens...... also have the bed linen to iron, did manage to get it dry over the weekend.... have also been looking for man and van to get the beds delivered to DD2, they are too big to go in the back of the car, £30 was the cheapest quote I got... need to phone her tonight and see when she wants me to arrange it for.

Chicken salad with jacket spud for supper tonight, need to look at some sort of pudd, maybe fruit in jelly or some such.... did not do a crumble yesterday, might do a syrup sponge, might last 2 nights......
