Just made a home made loaf and did 3 hours worth of ironing which hardly made a dent in the ironing pile, still it was all the horrible stuff like duvet covers.

Sunday lunch will be at 4p.m. and will be lemon and garlic chicken, home made roast potatoes , a huge yorkie , cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, gravy and cheese sauce with apple strudel and custard to follow.

Good luck to everyone worried about relatives.

  • Hi everyone,
Have just had tea - done O/S in the slow cooker (Chicken Casserole) boyf made it and is now washing up :)
Have been to an extreme sports event today where they've been skateboarding, rollerblading ad BMXing - won tickets to it from work. We were in a box with a few others and got food and drink provided so it's been a nice cheap day.
Am going to do all the ironing now and put the last lot of washing on the radiators

Just a bit late posting today :o and didn't manage to post at all yesterday.

Yesterday got up at 6.30 - taxi came at 7.15 and didn't get back home until nearly 10pm  day of overcrowded trains, waiting ages for buses etc etc but was nice to see OH's sister and where she's living in halls (just started at birmingham university). OH treated the 3 of us to lunch in Pizza Express and he got to buy the things he wanted from the lego shop, and the teddy bear from the bear factory I wanted (don't ask) and I started my Christmas shopping (wouldn't normally start this early but found a couple of bits in the lego shop for him that I wouldn't be able to get anywhere else - just glad we've got some wrapping paper from last year so I can wrap them quick without him seeing them).

Anyway didn't do much when we got back last night and then this morning had a bit of a lie in and then we've been quite good with stuff today:

    changed the bed
washed up, put away etc (still a bit of stuff to do)
OH put mirror up in bathroom and loo roll holder and a couple of extra coat hooks (after we popped to B+Q) can't believe a loo roll holder, bathroom mirror are not necessities or how the previous tennants managed but never mind we're allowed to put things up as long as we leave them or make the walls good before we move out
had a quick trip up to the out of town shopping place too but was very busy so just bought some M+S salad (not cheap I know but OH hoovers it up like nobodys business with dinner and as he's not a vegetable man it's worth it).
Also saw a lovely bag in Clarks that I thought was great, just what I've been looking for a bit reduced and so OH has bought it for me as it's my birthday next week and he doesn't know what to buy me - not good at surprises and I didn't really have the money for it so that's good for both of us :D

Also done some tidying, gone through my coupons then spent far too long on here catching up ;) and having tea and some cake which I made on Friday night. Then I'm going to make us a chicken and pasta bake for dinner - so that's pretty good OS and put some washing on too - been putting it off as airer does take up a fair amount of space in our living room but needs must now - i.e. need some clean clothes.

Later going to sort through the last 2 boxes of stuff from other house, not sure what's in there so that'll be a surprise.

Must get on now and stop rambling - hope everyone's having a nice day

    Evening all

Been totally unOS all weekend......had a chance offer of a babysitter for last night so arranged to go stay with some friends in London. Popped into Lakeside shopping centre late yesterday afternoon and managed to spend a whopping £200!! Toys"r"us didn't fair much better with another £180 (but £150 of that will be paid back to us by various relatives who send us money for DD1's birthday and DD's xmas pressies) Then popped into ASDA, another £80 then take away with friends £20!

And do you know the best bit....the bit that would never have happened without this web site................I paid for it all with money in my actual bank account --- not a single thing went onto a credit card!! How impressed was I!

The £200 in lakeside included a new suit and 3 shirts for DH, a few xmas pressies that I still had outstanding and some perfume from body shop for me for xmas.

It was lovely to know I was paying for all these things rather than hoping it would sort its self out later.

Anyway - back home at lunch time, went out for a walk at a local abbey ruin this afternoon and then spent the afternoon in bed trying to catch up on the sleep I didn't get last night because we were all to busy drinking copious amounts of wine...you'd think we'd know better...but we don't :D

I will deffinately get back on track tomorrow and sort out my larder and freezer and get a meal plan going.

Hope you've all have a wonderful weekend.

    Morning all

Oooh this is the first time I've started this thread. Absolutely bucketing down here - hope none of you are in flood prone areas

Still no word from sis out in Wilma. Mum's going to the travel agents today to see if they know of any information.

It's freexing in the office - they won't switch the heating on that costs money. There's only two radiators to heat the whole office anyway. So here in my scarf.

Not had my porridge yet, been too busy getting some news written!!

    Hope you're all ok

    Great news pink fairy ((((((((hugs))))))))))

Had an awful night last night and had to get OH to push me up out of bed as I couldnt move..lol. Have taken some pain killers so they should hopefully kick in soon ;)

I have a light coloured washload in ATM and will need to TD it as it is pouring here this morning  wash basket is now empty-well for another day anyway  DW needs emptying.

Have SIL coming over for a few hours to do some bits around the house and the irnoning :D

DD went to her friends house yesterday afternoon and when they dropped her off, they ended up here for about 2hrs but was lovely talking to proper people and not virtual people IYKWIM. They seemed a really nice family-they have an 11yr old, 8yrs old and shes preggers again at age 41 (unplanned) seemed to have high moral values too, which is a rarity these days.

Breakie is a bacon buttie, lunch is a plate of roast chicken dinner saved from yesterday (OH & DD are going bowling and have their lunch included for a £5 each with 2 games of bowling/shoe hire & burger and chips), dinner will probably be chicken pie or muck muck, mash and veg.

Will catch up later-have a nice day.

    Work today - Booooooo!!!

I dont want to go - the weather is nasty and Id rather stay at home and sand my side table. That would be much more fun. Oh well, 5 days to go then its the weekend....
