Morning everyone!:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello:
Haven't posted for a few days but thought I'd check in this morning.
Up at 6.30 with DS2. Had breakfast and put towels in drier (so far!)
Loads of washing to do today (around 3 loads) but don't know how I'll get it all dry:eek: - it's not raining currently, so maybe it might brighten up.
Don't really know what else I'm going to do today. Don't really want to go to the shops (I KNOW I'll spend too much!) but also don't want to spend whole day doing housework!!!
DH has got to take his car for an estimate re: insurance job. Hopefully they won't write it off!!!!
Must go, I can hear the kettle calling me for another cup of tea! Also need to hop in the shower before DH goes out shortly!!
Hope everyone has a great day and hugs to those who aren't having such a good time:grouphug:
Will check in later!

Hi everyone
I got the morning to myself today! DS at Saturday job, DH out helping a friend with some building work.
So I have a huge list of things to do including shopping & sorting out budget. I have just re-entered our bank details on to Money - did have it up & running a few months ago ... but after a while I let things lapse for far too long so have completely re-started. Hopefully this time I will keep it up. Typical me - get very enthusiastic about doing a budget & menu lists etc., then after a few months it all goes haywire & I wonder where all the money's gone!0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Wasn't sure whether I'd be here posting this weekend or not as I lost my internet connection around 5pm last night, but thankfully it was back this morning! :j :j :j
It might sound silly to some of you but I was actually having panic attacks at the thought of not being able to get online all weekend, and my ISP's phonelines are closed evenings/weekends with only online support which isn't any good if you can't get online :wall:
Anyway, got lots to do today so can't sit here too long, even though there's loads of posts to catch up on now! It's DS2's 17th birthday today so I'm going to make him a birthday cake and he's coming over for dinner tomorrow so I need to get the joint out of the freezer to defrost. We're having Porcetta made from one of Jimmy's Farms scrummy Essex pigs
I've also got to make up some curry base today, so we'll be having curry for dinner tonight, and I've got some veggies need using up so will make some sort of soup for lunch today! Gonna be busy busy in the kitchen all day by the looks of it, but luckily I got around to doing all the washing up and cleaning down sides and cooker etc last night being as I couldn't get online... so have a nice clean start to work from
Already had my shower and dressed for a change so a couple more :coffee:'s and a browse and then I'd better set too
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Morning everyone,
Haven't posted on this thread for ages but have enjoyed reading everybody elses busy days.
I'm not very good at this time of the year, I'm an aussie girl , though I've been over here for the past 13 yrs. Does anyone know how you find out if you have SADS?
Taking DD2 to Grandma's on the train today. 7 hours worth of traveling...can't wait!!!
So no time for anything else really, house is a mess but I'll hopefully sort that out next week.
Hope you all have a good day0 -

Morning everyone, :j
I've got loads to do today so am going to post a list - I've never dared do it before because I thought I might not get through it, but i figured I can have a go. Here goes
1) Put away washing up in kitchen from last night
2) Clean kitchen and sweep/mop floor
3) About 3 loads of washing and drying
4) Get rid of some stuff from greenhouse and bring some other plants in
5) Sweep all leaves from outside and cut grass
6) Go to mum and dads with some cereal my dad likes that we don't (bought on a healthy eating whim)
7) Try and find some cheap cycle lights for me and boyf
Boyf is hopefully spending the day putting up new skirting boards in our hall.
Also might try and make a curry in the slow cooker. Does anyone know if you can just put some chicken and a homemade sauce in? Not very o/s I know, but I don't have alll the ingredients for CQ's curry (which I want to try in the future) and don't need to go shopping yet!Comping Challenge

It's something that's not really picked up on for a few years until you realise there's a pattern developing with the same signs and symptoms every year. I suffer depression anyway (bipolar) so it took a long while for me to realise that I also have SAD on top of it, as I just put it down to my normal depressive episodes, but I certainly do suffer more during winter.
There's a couple of websites here and here with some info and signs to look out for, if that's any help
Edit: for anyone in the UK there's a good support organisation called SADA.
Oooops, just realised you are in the UK Frankie, sorry"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Morning all, good grief you have all been busy this morning. I had a lovely lie in and didn't get up until 8.30 then spent 30 minutes trying to drag DS out of bed. His sister went up with a bowl of cold water and a sponge in the end
I've got a lovely pot of soup on and a load of washing as the weather is glorious here. I've just checked the bank account as I want to go and buy some fruit to get on with the christmas puddings this weekend. I will have to take DD2 with me but never mind, hopefully she will behave herself?Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Had a lie in for once and then came downstairs with a pot of tea to look for cheap source of perfume for DD for Christmas.
As DH used to hog all the duvet I found that getting a king size one (even though the bed is a double) has worked brilliantly. Got winter weight duvet and two bedding sets from Morrisons for £33 the lot - it even included king size sheets which fit really well as we have a very deep mattress.
Going out later to discount centre or designer outlet for a couple of Christmas presents.
Still have some cheats chicken lasagne left from yesterday.
It turned out really well.
Hug to everyone feeling under the weather."This site is addictive!"
