It's "smelly day" today :j :j
Yes I agree. That's why I am out of bed. I must have eaten something last night of which the smell means my wife was getting a little annoyed, so I figured best that I get out and do something.
I have to muck the chickens out too, so maybe I am in the best place this morning.

Morning People!
I got my payslip through yesterday and im non too pleased - I think they make it as difficult to understand as possible so we dont query underpayments.... Well I bloody well will!
It seems my basic salary pre tax is around £50 less than it should, and a Saturday pay is missing. Will be having words today I think! It annoys me because I have to wait a full month to get that back, and im being overtaxed anyway - Ive only just started working in this tax year so havent even used my 4940 personal allowance and im being taxed to the hilt already.
Goddam thieves!
Anyway - gotta get ready to go to work and I shall then complain to management loudly!

Hello Old-Stylers.
I'm planning on going into town later on. I've written up a list of Things I Need To Do in case I forget to do anything.
1). Go to Boots and ask if I can have a sniff of "Truth" by Calvin Klein. I received a free bottle in yesterday's post courtesy of Zest Magazine but it's in cellophane so I don't know whether to keep it for myself or give it away for Christmas. It must have been a free gift for subscribing but I'm only planning on taking advantage of the 3 for £1 offer.
2). Go to Wilkinsons and get some of those adhesive hook things. I need to attach a net curtain over a frosted window in the bathroom.
3). I had a card from my library telling me a book I had reserved using their online system was finally in stock - "Swallowing Grandma" by Kate Long. I loved "The Bad Mothers Handbook" by the same author so I am really excited about reading this. My friend reckons it was better than the handbook.
4). Need to buy a potty. I am leaving the potty training until Christmas when I have 19-days off work (woohoo) but it wont kill me to get DS2 (2.5) used to one will it?
5). I need to buy a pair of sharp knives as the only good knife I had has disappeared. Can anyone recommend where I can buy a decent knife (not a big one, one that you would eat with rather than for preparing veg).
I also need to drag my DH out to buy petrol with his Tesco Credit Card (I'm getting clubcard points before the eyes).
Then I need to tidy downstairs as I thoroughly bottomed upstairs yesterday.
Then it will probably be time for Strictly come Dancing!April 2006 - £9790.26dr. DFD - March 20110 -
LOL - I've only just realised N9eav is a man.
Go get 'em Jo. But think of the tax return next yearYes, I know you want the money now, but hey:) My first year of working meant that I got quite a large tax return and I went and bought a microwave (expensive items in 1985) which lasted me 18 years. I wouldn't have saved up the money otherwise.

moggins wrote:Noooooooooooo, cook the cheese and potato pie anyway! I made this for the kids a couple of weeks ago, it was yummy and they all came back for seconds
I would have done if I could remember how to
I spent ages trawling the board for a recipe, as I'm sure someone has posted on here before and I remember someone mentioning Homity Pie too which I think is the same or similar?
Anyway, I was about to post and ask for a recipe when I came across AussieLass's quiche recipe, which I'd been meaning to try anyway, so though I'd do that instead.
It was an absolute success, so much so that DS had double helpings of it! :j
I added bacon, onion and chopped up some red pepper I had left to go in with the cheese etc and it came out lovely! I'd say there was four generous helpings so I was going to save half to have for lunch today with some salad (had it with beans last night) until DS went and took another piece that is LOL!"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

It is that what you do, good or bad,
will come back to you three times as strong!

Hi Everyone,:wave:I've just got up, as I'm feeling rather bunged up with cold this morning. My DS (25mths) has the beginings of it to I think. Never mind, will try and get around to making some more pumpkin soup today, and getting some fresh air later. Good luck to you monkeylugs, with the potty training. I'm going through thats stage with my DS.
LOL
