Treacle, you usually post whether the site is up and running or not. :shhh: It's just, at *your* age and your reflexes slowing somewhat .... you simply don't notice when it IS down;)

Just after I'd posted on here and gone and got all the washing up together and made a cup of tea earlier the phone rang and the office I work in at the uni sometimes called up and asked if I could go in. had to dash up there, was in my pyjamas so had to get dressed quickly without washing my hair. Meant I didn't get any of the things I planned done but I don't mind - meant I got some much needed money - just need to work hard this evening to get everything sorted here.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

That beef in cider was okay. Vaugely. would have been better with a dry cider methinks.
And possibly some chips with it. And maybe sausages too..............................0 -
Evening all,
Put a whole chicken in the SC before work so tea has been chicken, mash, veg and gravy. follwed by ice cream.
Got a few more christmas pressys in my lunch break, simpsons manopoly, cluedo and bounce-bounce tigger.
Got in and the site was down... felt sick.. but it did me good as I cancelled 2 credit cards I have a nil balance so I can apply for a tesco card without them thinking how many cards does she want!!!!! on first one was easy, yorkshire bank.. a few security questions and they will send me a letter to confirm... B & Q do it all card took me 30 minutes to get through to someone I could not understand, they could not really understand me so they say it's closed but if it is I will be shocked.
DS (14yrs) has football training soon so will turn in taxi driver, come back bath the other 2 then bed for them.. then will it be soaps and wine or the ironing???????0 -

:T :T Hopefully that site won't go down tooooo often
PS: Wine vs Ironing? It's a toughie .... .... I know it's hard, but ...
I'd go with the wine - ironing is bad for the back and wine is good for the heart~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well today didn't go according to plan (as always lately) Soup didn't get made, will aim that for tomorrow. BM has only just got started, thanks to DH and I forgot the 2 things I went to town for!!!
I did come back with a few xmas pressies - I really have finished now. Got DH a new brief case cos he deserves something for all his hard work, he's off "ooop north" for 4 nights later in the month so thought he might appreciate a new case to look smart with.
Popped into boots to top up mobile phones as they'd sent me a new boots card with a "double points" voucher.....made it worth my while! Managed to get some Choccies on BOGOF in morrisons too, great for teachers pressies!
Came home and shoved the washing in the tumble as i'd missed that optimum line drying hour again! Shoved some jacket potatoes in the oven and rustled up some "toppings" - Tuna, sweetcorn and mayo for me and DD1, DD2 always has beans with hers and made a chunky (cos I couldn't find the grater blade) coleslaw in the processor. Was very filling and I remembered to do extra potatoes too so we can have them sliced and spiced as wedges tomorrow.
DD's are tucked up in bed and I'm debating, ironing, washing the kitchen floor or surfing around for a bit......I'm guessing I should surf around incase I miss something......"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Or even better ... sit back with a glass of wine and get DS to do the ironing for you
I have now been relinquished of the one and only ironing chore I had left - school uniforms - as DS now does them himself :T :j"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Hello everyone - another late post for me. Did have a quick squizz on here around 2.30 but couldn't get anywhere so gave up
Today I've done nothing but charge around after other people, it seems. Took both boys to school, then over to mum's and took her to another town with me whilst I did a mystery shopping job (got a free lunch out of it) Did a bit of shopping, rushed mum home, came back here and started tea (spag bol) and did quick tidy up. School run (3 schools, lots of kids) then back here to make tea, only my sis has eventually sent DS2's birthday pressie so we all spent 30 mins putting it together
That meant no garlic bread, but hey, healthier
DS1 had footy tonight so back to same place I've been twice today, found out he's now too old but could stay tonight so went to Tesco (via home) to get milk and petrol, then back for DS1, where I met the most unpleasant man I've had the misfortune to meet in ages  OK, I had blocked him in the car park as it was full, but we were all picking our kids up and sods law meant I'd blocked in the person who wanted to go first. I apologised and tried a little light-hearted banter as I herded kids in the dark, back to the car - but he had a face that would curdle milk - you know the sort. Hope the wind changes tonight, that's all
Anyway, tonight I shall make some soup with the chicken stock I made in SC overnight - chicken and leek probably. Need to put BM on again, and DW. Must put washer on overnight too. Living room needs a good tidy (again!! Did it at 2.15) I also need to put my MS job online tonight.
Tell ya what - I may just chill now and have a wee tot of something. I'm a bit frazzled currently, so an hour on here may be just the tonic I need
PS Forgot to say, I like going to the dentists. Does that make me mad or just a masochist ?0
