Morning all - hugs to everyone
Had a bad morning so far - overslept by 20 minutes so I was running late (just got ready quick instead of taking my time so I easily caught up), DD was really naughty so got put in a 5 minute time out and somehow combined we ended running 15 minutes lateIts pouring down with heavy rain here so had to get wrapped up in waterproofs. Discovered when we got to school that DD's waterproof is now too small as she was soaked through, but her falling in a puddle didn't help! At least she was wearing wellies so her feet were dry. I went in to get her sorted out only to find the school had no spare trousers so shes currently in school wearing her PE shorts, long socks scrunched down, her poloshirt and a borrowed sweatshirt
:mad: Tonight I will be restocking her bag with a spare uniform (her pants from last year still fit her ...just) and PE kit so this won't happen again. As for me, by the time I got home I was drenched as well - my coat isn't waterproof - so I'm sitting here in my pj's, socks, OH's slippers and OH's dressing down :rotfl: The gas fire is on full whack with the maiden infront while I try and dry my jeans out so I can wear them - my other jeans are currently in the airing cupboard drying out after me washing them  My hiking boots are soaking wet as well so I need to dry them out - might even look into getting myself some wellies :rotfl: Maybe even a longer coat or a waterproof
Just paid our electricity bill online as I've just turned the place upside down looking for the bill which came last week. I'm going to change provider as I'm not liking British Gas. We were with Powergen in the last house so I think we will go back to them as I also get clubcard points with them which in turn pays for my nanas Xmas pressieWill have a look today and run it past OH before I swap. They may not be the cheapest but they're better than British Gas.
I have a mountain of dirty dishes still to wash but I don't want to do them
Lunch for me is chicken & veg soup from the freezer. Tea, probably southern chicken pieces (Aldi's by request) and potato wedges as DD wants to help.
Speaking of which she came home yesterday all excited because they made mash potatoes in school. She said "We got water, milk, butter, a bowl, a spoon and two packets of powder then mixed it all together and made mash!!!:j (literally)" I told her that that way was cheating and mash is supposed to be made with potatoes "Is that the way you do it mummy?" "Yes, I make homemade..." "YAY!!! Homemade homemade! Can I have a go at homemade as well?" I've got to learn not to use the phrase "homemade" when talking about food :rotfl:
Right. Lazy day for me I think apart from checking on washing and the dreaded dishesI'll just finish my cup of tea and looking around here and then I'll put the clean dishes away

Hi Yall, It's a bit overcast and dull here today, not a lot of breeze and a bit of hazy sun so the tumble bumble has been on since breakfast. Big pile of ironing building up nicely for Mr Vine this afternoon:D
I will be settling down and compiling my Christmas gift list/budget over lunch. I know I am leaving it dangerously late by some Ol'Stylers standards but I have been waiting for the season to end and all the 1/2 hr parking restrictions are lifted because I am too MSE to pay £3 to park me car also a lot of the shops/arcades/markets close up for the winter and will be reducing their prices to get rid of this years stock so I may pick up some real bargains. I noticed in town the other day that the owner of the indoor market knicker 'n' sock stall has already dropped her pants:D

Good morning all
Wet, grey and miserable here this morning - heavens opened just as I got to the bottom of the road with 5 kids....typical!
Only one little one with me today so we made cakes to take to my mums tonight as it's her birthday. We settled on a pineapple sponge as it looked so yummy and I had all the ingredients (which always helps) I made individual ones as I couldn't find my big cake tin but they look great and taste divine.
Little one's asleep now so have just unloaded and loaded the dishwasher - sorted out another load of washing and stuck one lot in the tumble, got my books up to date and have just sat down with a coffee for a quick browse.
Got a chicken carcass in the SC with some white wine and left over gravy, will strain it off later and pick out the bones then bung it back in with some veg and pasta for tonights tea. Will bung a loaf going in the BM too so we can have some nice fresh bread to dunk.
Tomorrow I plan to make pies as I've none left in the freezer, will probably be mince beef and onion - may make some cheese and tomato ones too as I've a glut of cherry toms at the mo. Will also make some tuna fishcakes up and some corned beef ones for DH (allergic to fish) and get them frozen down for next week.
Hope you all have a productive afternoon."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Going to try to make homemade biscuits - may look at mags in shop to see if there are any free gifts with subs that would do as Christmas or birthday presents.
Have already ordered one with free hair straighteners (worth£55) and Calvin Klein Truth perfume (worth about £30)

Big Hug to all those who are having a hard time.

There has to be someone?
I'd just keep asking for the next level up or whatever until I got someone who could straighten this out.
If you don't want to do it by phone - try an email contact through their website or even a fax...
I called back and apparently someone is going to call me this afternoon, so I'm going to be a gibbering wreck waiting for the phone to ring as no doubt it will be a withheld number so I won't know for sure it's them when I answer it
It's been one thing after another this week and we're only on Wednesday! :wall: ... it is Wednesday today isn't it? Oh !!!!!! it, is it too early in the day to have a lunchtime glass of wine "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
