PP - and heres me worried about a bit of dirt!
Make sure you take your medication with you to the dentist and show/tell him. They are trained to do it right and should set your mind at ease.0 -
Gooood Morning All!!! :hello:
Had another good nights sleep but still didn't want get up - OH said "you have to get up cause its your duty as a mother" My reply? "I'm disowning her. She's not my daughter anymore so you can take her to school" :rotfl:
Finally got up to find that DD's school sweatshirt is still damp so its currently wedged underneath the lagging on the hot water tank  The school will have to wait until tomorrow to get their one back that she borrowed yesterday as its still wet.
Plans for today  I have bedding and towels that need to be washed, the plates from last nights tea have been in soaking all night so they can be washed with the breakfast dishes and that will be the washing up DONE :j I also need to do some Ebay listings. On Monday I photographed everything and sorted it into catergories for ease of listing. I think today I will do all the cuddly toys so I need to get on with typing all the listings.
Got to get DD ready for school now. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Ooh err
This is really turning into quite a moan of the day thread!
Clearly, there is a need for some good Old Style self-nurture, we seem to have quite a few OS'ers who are below par....
I'm going to set a task for everyone in OS for today ... every hour, take one minute and simply close your eyes and breath deeply and slowly for that minute. That's it. That's all you have to do. Good luck.
For those who are bunged up and might not be able to "breathe deeply" ... you might want to grab a bowl, fill it with hot water (not boiling!); lean over and .. inhale the steam.

I'm sorry to read about your dog's antics Charlotte.
Let the mud dry first ... it might brush off the curtains and carpet without any need to wash them.
PP - I'll be thinking of you this morning - I empathise with what you're going through ((hugs)) Being exhausted makes the pain seem much worse tooThe dentist will ask about any meds you are taking so, try not to fret toooo much.

Good morning all - feeling bright and breezy this morning, despite the weather. We went to bed at 7.30pm last night, once we'd put the kids to bed. I had a surf on the laptop, read for a while and felt all snuggly and relaxed while DH watched the footie....was a very relaxing evening.
Charlottle - Re your daughter getting up so early. Have you got a stair gate across her bedroom door? I used to have one for my eldest DD, as soon as she started climbing out the cot we moved her into a bed as falling from the bed wouldn't be as dangerous as her trying to climb out the cot. Once out of the cot she could sit and play in her room until I came to get her. You'd know she was safe in her room and would be able to lie there and collect your thoughts for a bit longer.
Not working today so plan a nice long soak in the bath (just a sneaky way of finishing my book really) and then make some salt dough to have a play with, some pastry for a curried chicken quiche and ham and cheese pastry for tea and pounce on the ironing pile whilst watching a film. Have agreed with DD1 that she can walk home from school tonight after her ICT club, saves me and DD2 walking back to school and gives her a little more independance (hard to let go sometimes tho). Ebay stuff finishes at lunch time and should clear me around £75 which is great. Just need to get it all packed and ready to go over the weekend.
Think I may have a look at making some oatmeal soaps too this weekend, will copy out the reciepe and pick up some E.Oils while I'm out tomorrow.
Hope you all have a wonderful day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hiya everyone
PP - good luck with the tooth. I'm sure everything will go fine and you'll be sooooo glad it's out.
Charlotte - kids, dogs, ................who'd 'ave 'em. Well, I won't have a dog for precisely the reasons you've mentioned. Hmmm, kids - hate to tell you this, but if little 'uns body clock wakes her at that time - then there's not a lot you can do.My DS1 was the same - you could set the clock by him, to the minute, every single day. 6.19 am for weeks, then 6.04 am  Now he's 6, he still gets up before everyone else, but at least he's at the age where he can stay in his room and read. I have to say that he's also at the age where bribery comes in, as in " if you wake us up before 7 (when daddy gets up) then you will get a black star and Father Xmas is looking how many black stars you have as well as gold ones"
Working a treat at the moment. The 3yo is a different matter
Luckily he's having a growing spurt so sleeping till 7 anyway
Had a bad night last night. I ended up watching "ghost" - why, I have no idea cos I've seen it before and am hot a huge fan. Trouble is I've had too many deaths to deal with recently so I was a blubbering wreck afterwards. So ended up with a large whiskey and ginger and surfing on here when I should have been sleeping.
So, today.....we have blue sky so washing on line in a while and another load or 3 to go in. Lunch will be HM soup and bread, tea will be whatever I fancy when I go and look in the freezerI'm running it down so getting to those last bits now.
May go into town later - didn't go yesterday in the end. I have a phone mystery shopping job to do this afternoon. Usual mess in the house associated with small children needs to be addressed today too.
Catch ya later

Oh Charlotte you've really brightened my day. I'm sorry your not feeling 100%, but I had to laugh at you posts:rotfl:
Sounds like a typical day at chez foreverskint lol.
Well I have to work today, a late shift and I won't be finished until 3.00 friday morning. So I have got a chicken stew in the SC and the BM is set for a fresh loaf for when the OH gets in after collecting the littlie from nursey. ( who incidently is sitting here complaing already that she wants to stay at home).
Have made my pack up for tonight and just have to go dig out my uniform and iron it and I seem to have forgotten to do any ironing lately.:o
I also spotted a mouse just as it ducked behind the cupboard that houses my pc & tv so heres hoping it doesn't fancy a little wire for breakfast lol
I have booked a visit from the council pest control to deal with it as I think the potential damage far outweighs the £10.50 charge.
you should have seen me jump lol. I thought it was a large beetle at first, then once I realised it was a mouse I was o.k. I dont mind them but i prefer them out doors. I can hear it as i type, so if I suddenly dissapear you know why.;)
Any way onwards and upwards have a good day everyone.

You put me all to shame!
Have to admit to being a lazy thing this morning, but I was busy until gone midnight last night.
Too wet to get anything dry here today so I think I'll sort the kitchen. That means cooking over the next couple of days will be "expiry date specials" Could be interesting.0 -
It's a miserable day today isn't it?
I refuse to go out (apart from school run) and have my tesco shopping coming between 10-12.
Good luck at the dentist Penny-Pincher. :eek:Mortgage-free wannabe!0 -
Morning all :hello:
Our broadband still isn't up and running. OH is getting really narked as he's getting fed up with work and NEEDS to find a new job NOW!
I've had quite a few days supply work in some really different schools. On the whole there have been some great children. I just need a proper job now! I don't have any work today - hence why I'm down the library getting my MSE fix on their broadband!
We're eating very well at the moment. All meals are just about cooked from scratch still (the odd stir fry sauce creeps in............) and I've discovered the heaven that is my slow cooker.
Later this morning, I'm popping to the town's market to see what they have to offer - and I'm hoping to make up a huge batch of spag bol with some mince I'm hoping to buy from the butcher.I've also found where there is a farm shop, so I'll have to find that on another day off as this afternoon I've got some cleaning to do!
Catch you all later

Fab arent they!! DH said last night, (both of us having just walked through the door at 8pm) whilst tucking into a lovely big plate full of slow cooker sausage casserole, "I love your slow cooker dinners"At least I know I'm keeping someone happy!!!
I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle0
