It's been one thing after another this week and we're only on Wednesday! :wall: ... it is Wednesday today isn't it? Oh !!!!!! it, is it too early in the day to have a lunchtime glass of wine

Absolutely not too early - it's 6pm somewhere. Enjoy  , and try not to worry in the mean time. You'll not help yourself by being stressed out.

Quite a nice day here weather-wise (not raining, anyway) - so why is my washing still in the machine & not out? Cos I forgot about it.... :o
    Just off to do that.
Feeling grumpy cos our mattress which we bought from Ikea in April this year has got a hole in the foam, so we can feel the springs  & we are going to have to return it. They just phoned & said we have to bring it to them (and its miles away) and then they will examine it & say if they will replace it or not  It is supposed to have a 25 year guarantee & so far has lasted 6 months
Ok, I know there are worse things in life, but I was a bit irritated about this!
Just off to grab the sunshine while it lasts

I called back and apparently someone is going to call me this afternoon, so I'm going to be a gibbering wreck waiting for the phone to ring as no doubt it will be a withheld number so I won't know for sure it's them when I answer it

Ouch. well, at least things are moving along... probably...

I've been beaten to it again by quicker fingers, but I go along with the "It's lunchtime SOMEWHERE in the world" gang :)

Chipps ...make sure you take the receipt with you. We had a settee cover shrink and couldnt find the receipt but had paid with the IKEA card and they said we might have bought it at a boot fair  Was only OH getting really p***** that persuaded them to give us another. However when we had bits missing in a cupboard kit, they gave us a whole new cupboard and the old one back and paid petrol(ask about their paying your petrol).

I've been collecting up leaves in the garden this morning for the leaf mould bin(really a split laundry basket).
We had fish finger sandwiches for lunch and I even remembered to make some for DS to take to school with him tomorrow.
DD wants to make tea tonight and is going to do bolognaise.
OH went back to work today(he had a cold yesterday) so the TV is off.
I really need to start digging and composting down the veg patch but cant seem to build up the enthusiasm for some reason.Course as soon as it starts raining I will be desperate to be at it!

    Hi all!
Not a very exciting day today as am at work and then doing the school run. Hope this evening to spend a bit of time putting all my gorgeous miniatures back into my dollshouse which I took out when we moved it downstairs.
    Have a good one!

    Hi Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

We are back from our dog/cat sitting stint, spent a couple of lovely days in an 18th century house, stone built..........

12 months ago we applied for sheltered housing, we are in private rented accomodation at the moment and its costing us a fortune, we do get HB but because we have 2 bedrooms, they think we should only have one so penalise us for that....we wondered what was happeneing, had heard zilch apart from a letter confirming that we were on the list........... phoned before we went visiting on monday, were told that they could not find our paper work although we are on the computer list..... when we got back a message on the phone, please can we ring them as soon as possible................ watch this space............

Becuase we have been away have not sone anyhthng really OS. The quilting hoop I ordered from the US arrived on Monday, have not had a chance to try it out yet.....

Thats it I am off to bed, see you tomorrow.............
