FIL is a surveyor and says the rendering on the outside of houses can get cracks and water get inside causing mould.Same problem if you have that new rendering stuff sprayed on the outside.Bleach will kill the mould although you couldnt use it on a carpet .I wonder if the floor is mouldy underneath it.

We're an end terrace that is all brick. We have a small alleyway running down the side of the house which is just wide enough for a person and wheelie bin and it never gets the sun. I wonder if that could be a problem? Mind you I can't go moving the house :rotfl:

I've lifted the carpet a bit and it seems to be fine underneath so hopefully it is just the wallpaper ;)

Working from home today, so a chance to get a few jobs done.
A portion of CQ's curry sauce is currently defrosting waiting to be turned into chicken korma for tea & I've roasted some starting-to-shrivel cherry toms to make into soup or pasta sauce.
Neither me or OH will be home til late tomorrow night, so I'm going to make a thai green curry today, so it's ready for when we get in tomorrow.
Washing machine has just beeped, I might chance hanging it on the line..........

I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle

Bit late checking in today but AFTERNOON ALL!!!

Am at work today (although should have finished at 2pm!) Too much paperwork to do so will work until 2.45pm, then do school run -can then 'bank' the time to use later:D

Washing in machine ready to take out later. Don't know what we'll have for tea (must resist the chip shop!!) Maybe jacket potatoes, we all love those.

Going to see my sister after school run!

    I'll check in later tonight!!

    Bye!!

I hit a snag when I was replying to the curry thread and it seemed to just hang for ages, so I went off to make a phone call and now I've come back it seems to have recovered again

Mind you, I'm not sure I have after just speaking with my insurers and finding out how much my motor policy will increase by adding my 17 yr old son to it fallovershock6cg.gif

    Just a bit!!!

I wouldn't mind so much but I've already paid out for tax, insurance and MOT on a car that has basically stood doing nothing for the last 12 mths as it is, on the off chance I actually feel well enough to be able to go out and drive anywhere

Now DS2 is turning 17 we thought it might be a good idea to help me get out again if I sit alongside him until he's passed his test, and then he can become my chauffer too ;)

But ... it's going to cost over £1000 to add him to the policy <GULP> so back to the drawing board I think

And what a recalcitrant little MSE Forum it has been this afternoon!!! :naughty:

Hmmph! *I had to WORK instead of lingering over a coffee and posting on the site*

I refuse to sit and linger any longer .... but only because the menfolk are starving and need pointing in the direction of the kitchen ;):D
