Just having a quick look on here before I go and have a shower and an early night. Don't really want to go to work tomorrow I'm having a few issues with my boss - I'm going to speak to his manager about possibly moving onto another team as I'm really fed up and miserable there at the moment.
Anyway enough about that. I was supposed to go to the gym tonight with my boyf but managed to talk him into going after tea and surprise surprise we haven't ended up going. He's going to go tomorrow while I have my driving lesson (which I hate, I've failed sooooo many tests)
Had pasta with spicy veg sauce, sausages and pittas for tea, and had a tidy up of the kitchen and dining room. Have left boyf to the living room - he's not usually very good at it . . .Comping Challenge

Evening all,
Jo, they are sad, mindless gits and like someone else said lets hope what goes around comes around.
Well was up at 6, kids to school club then me to work, DH is working away.
Finished work, collected my 3 boys, did the homework, tea (gammon joint out of the SC) with home made chips, mushy peas and fried egg. cleaned up, did some washing, bath time, children to bed, watched the soaps and now it's almost time to go the bed and start it all again tomorrow.
Lets hope the sun shines again tomorrow, speak then.0 -
we had a viewer come to look at our car on sat. he brought his friend and had travelled 280miles to come and see it. they seemed nice and were smartly dressed and well spoken. they were really checking the car out and then they asked to go for a test drive. only one could go as it's a sports car with a small back seat (really just for kids). the other said he would wait in his car, then said "actually could i use your loo as i'm bursting, been travelling for 6 and a half hours". didn't really want to let him in put didn't want to seem rude. i let him in and our bathroom is downstairs, so he was only alone in the bathroom. my first thought was i hope it's tidy, i'd completely forgot i left my ring on the windowsill. i never take it off, but i was painting and last time i covered it in paint.
he then joined me in the sitting room and shortly afterwards dh & car returned. they then went to discuss it and the interested guy made a pathetic offer on the car of £800 less than we were asking. so we declined.
never noticed my ring was gone till last night, as spent the rest of sat cooking big indian meal and the sunday doing loads of deep cleaning, so i wouldn't have put my ring back on. had just went to bed when i remembered i'd not out my ring back on, then i had a gut feeling, i knew the ring wasn't on the windowsill and he has taken it
we got up and searched the house, he was the only person to come in and neither me for dh moved it.
have spent today in tears, and on the phone to the insurance and the police. they sent a police woman out who was really nice. she thinks it was like bogus workmen - use an excuse to get in your house to see what they can get. she said it was quite comman for people to leave jewellery in their bathroom, and that it was not my fault. said they would have asked to use the toilet in the hope of finding jewellery and getting into the house and quite often bathrooms are next to bedrooms and they'll see whats in there too.
i'm soo angry and upset, i blame myself for taking it off and letting him in.
the only consolation is that it was hand made and the shop keeps the designs on file - they told us at the time if anything ever happened it could be remade to look exactly the same. i'm really upset as it's our two year engagement anniversary soon and i'm worried i won't have a ring
i'm waiting for the insurance to get back in touch - hopefully everything will be ok and i'll get the replacement soon. the police think this is what they do con their way into peoples homes to rob them. as my mum said it could have been worse he could have hurt me.
i feel so down, i'd had a great weekend and made curry queens curry and had really enjoyed cooking properly from scratch for the first time in ages. we had made homemade soup and i had been spurred on to do loads of big cleaning jobs i'd been putting off. we also sold our car on sunday which will be a big help financially. we had two cars and only really needed one. just as we finally get some good luck someone kicks you back down again:love: married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
chardonnay - that's terrible, I really feel for you. (((((hugs)))))
I know that often it's not the monetary value of what's gone, but the fact that it was your engagement ringand has so much sentimentality attached to it that hurts so much. I remember thinking I'd lost my engagement ring once - thought that it must have fallen off the bathroom window ledge and into the bin which had been emptied and long gone. I felt sick - luckily I found it. But I'm sure that knowing someone has been into your home and taken it is far worse. Hopefully, they will try it on and it will get stuck, cut the blood supply off and their finger will drop off - well, you can hope
They can come to my house to use the loo - they can nick a lopsided cactus the boys were given or Mr TM's current bathroom read - another biography of Hitler0 -
chardonay,
That's terrible. I'm sure you are really really upset. I wish I could think of something helpful to say, but I know that nothing is going to make you feel much better right now. I'm soo sorry. Hugs for you.

First of all, stop blaming yourself! This is not your "fault" and you have every right to feel angry and upset - I feel angry and upset *for* you!!!!
Any *blame* lies squarely on the shoulders of the protozoa who did the dirty deed!
I'm hoping you have had a fairly reasonable night's sleep and haven't laid awake worrying. Good luck with the insurance. (((HUGS)))~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning Queenie & everyone else
Didnt sleep well last night, but am getting very anxious about thursday as Im having a tooth pulled....BIL called last night and he had a tooth pulled yesterday and he's had stitches across the gum where they had to cut-too get the tooth out  I HATE DENTISTS! Hands are quite bad today and my lower back/hips are playing up-so may have to hit the pain killers again today-just to get through ok
Anyways, 1 load in wash machine and hopefully can be hung outside as weather appears OK and dry. Our bedroom needs sorting a little but will only take about 15mins-just things being put away really. Im also going to push my luck and ask OH if he can do the downstairs wooden floors for me-yesterday I noticed that our dog (westie) seems to be malting which is very unusual for him and found some hair around the skirting (not alot). He is nearly 3 and thought maybe he is shedding his baby hairEverywhere else is pretty tidy and all is clean
Shopping from Asda being delivered this afternoon, so that will need putting away. When OH collects DD from school he is posting 3 parcels for me from ebaywill also get him to pick up a few stamps.
Breakfast (Im gonna have a cheese/ham toastie) OH & DD both toast/marmite/yogurt and juice. Lunch will be jacket spud, ham & colesalw. Dinner will be shepards pie & cauliflower.
Hope you all have a nice day. Will call in later.

Morning all,
Just popped online to check my ebay sales, all going nicely.
Today I'm off out with a friend, we're having breakfast out, probably lunch out too and then I shall come home and complain bitterly about how I could have done it so much cheaper...buy hey - I'm not paying so I shall smile nicely and enjoy!
Will shove a load of washing going before I go and will get BM going in time for tea, got the chicken carcass sitting in the fridge so will pick it over for a chicken and veg soup for tea.
Have a wonderful day all and hopefully enjoy the last of the sunshine!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0
