It seems my lovely sunday off has made my cold worse, now im stuffed up and it isnt pleasant. Im in another branch today though so today should at least be a variation on the norm for me, but the novelty will probably wear off in about 5 minutes.
Ill take some painkillers I think and hope that today goes ok. Did loads of cleaning yesterday so at least the house is sparkly, did the food shopping (a weeks worth for about £18, although I will have to buy some more milk and possibly some more veg), went to ikea and picked out the furniture im going to buy so im really looking forward to payday when we will then actually have a sofa.....
I also did a next online order for boyf's 26th birthday present ( a firebowl ball thingy that he really wants) and his parents are giving him some money, which I think he intends to spend on furniture stuff - bless him! We were meant to go and visit friends last night to pick up his money from thier last gig, but we got to the car and some a$$hole has smashed through his back window, so that put our plans out and upset him a bit, it was just his car affected. He called him mum and his sisters car had ben keyed by someone too, and his brother was beaten up by a drunk squaddie last week. This country is the pits, people are so concerned only about themselves they dont give a monkeys how their (criminal) actions affect others, people are so selfish. String the lot of them up imo - at present there isnt enough deterrent to make people stop and think before they act.
Absolute scumbags. TBH, im incensed that someone had the nerve to do it, there was nothing in the car to steal and nothing on view - why do it?? Good job we didnt see it happen, we'd have been after him like a shot and I certainly wouldnt have been lenient - but then id be the one in jail. Im annoyed so ill just stop now I think, that idiot put a downer on my otherwise lovely day, but id better go and get ready for work and hope the insurance company comes out asap to sort it out.
Hope you all have a lovely and crime avoiding day.

Morning everyone :hello:
jw1096 - I'm so sorry to hear about you car!! You're absolutely right - there is no deterrent these days for the mindless thugs who go about vandalising things.

Did the usual shop yesterday in Asda. There was a lady pricing the reduced veg so I hovered for a bit and got a huge bag of mushrooms for 40p and a head of broccoli for 40p.I thought I'd be a bit more ecological and only bought English fruit too(not much choice though, one sort of apples and one sort of pears).I spent yesterday afternoon making 4" newspaper pots for my seedlings to go into.I made 24 which took ages to fill with earth and plants.
Then in the evening I printed out some gardening pamphlets from the war that I found on a website. That took me about 3 1/2 hours.
Today I'll get them all filed away in a binder from the cupboard(where we keep our old homeschool stuff).
I picked some of our spring onions for sandwiches and even DS had some.
Am hoping to get some more laundry dry on the line today.Just off to wake DD and then downstairs to get breakfast and slice the new loaf.0 -
Might have to go to work today, but not sure yet - expecting a phone call later.
Otherwise need to go shopping as the cupboards are bare (again!) Hardly anything in for DD's lunchbox, had to make do with raisins for her pud as that's the only fruit we have in the house. Spicy lamb puffs for tea, need something with a bit of a kick as I'm a bit bunged up and everything tastes like cardboard. So need to decide wheteher to buy puff pastry or make my own like last week. Will have to see how my day pans out I guess. Oh, nearly forgot, got to go to DS's nursery school this after, it's environment week and I'm supposed to be getting crafty with them, however can't draw to save my life, it could be very interesting0 -
Morning All,
A lovely clear day here, 2 loads ready to go out on the line and another in the machine.
Buy morning here, DD1 to school and DD2 has a hospital apt for xrays of her hips, poor sausage, shes only kust turned 1 and they think there is something wrong with them so seeing the paediatrition afterwards to find out what the verdict is. After that the poor girl has her MMR jabs so looks like the afternoon will be spent having lots of cuddles.
Can't wait to call the EA to see what the feedback is from the viewings we had on our house at the WE, can't do it till after all the hos apts though so will be about lunchtime.
Lots to post from ebay today, the xmas fund is slowly mounting up.

Morning all
Lovely bright morning here, pity it has to show up just how dirty the windows are!!
Dropped 4 at school and will pick 3 up at 3pm and another one up at 4pm but that's it for my working day :j . Got up a bit earlier this morning so I could tackle the clearing up from yesterdays dinner/tea/sit around and chat all afternoon session. Washings on, one load in the tumble as I just don't get enough sun on the washing line this time of year, it just about crawls over the bungalow at about 2.30 and then there's not enough heat left in it to dry anything. Got about 3 more loads of washing to do today buy most of it will sit on airers as it's non-tumbleable. Had a 20min whizz round with a damp cloth and the hoover and have swept the kitchen floor (might get round to washing it tonight)
Sitting here with the patio doors open watching all the birds drinking from the pond, it's quite serene.
Going to go get the sewing machine out and make a coffee and spend the day doing what "I" want to do!!
Tea will be egg, chips and beans. BM will need to go on at some stage too and if I get bored I will make some soup for tomorrow.
Have a great one all."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hello Everyone
Feeling horrible today, and yet still at work. Wouldn't have come in but there's no one to cover. So working 5am-6.30pm on me tod, with not much voice
Sister got married at the weekend, mostly went ok, apart from my dress not fitting in the morning and having to be altered at the last minute
Hope all's well with everyoneComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Good morning all
Lovely weather here, washing on line, dishwasher emptied & breakfast stuff in, beds stripped & airing. I have also looked out some wool & mitten patterns to get started on knitting some mittens for shoebox appeal. I haven't knitted since.. er... (thinks) ...
...oh, yes, since ds1 was a baby - and he's nearly 20. Not sure how the mittens will turn out. Still, it's worth a try.
This afternoon ds2 will go to my mum's for his art lesson (he is home educated so I don't often get time to myself) so I will have a bit of a blitz on the house. We have been back from holiday for a week & haven't really had time to do all that needs doing yet.
Sorry to hear about all who are feeling under the weather - hope things improve. And as for the vandalised car, words fail me. Hope the insurance is sorted out asap, jo0
