oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I see............ So I have a Janome 6500 which has an extended head...............looking at the new one which is to be showcased at Ally Pally, not that I can afford one, but............ one can dream.................actually I should amend that post I have 1 lap top and one desk top, the lap top was bought for me to take to the US when I went to the quilt show at Paducah so I could download all the photographs from my digital Camera, I have a page on Weshots with all the photo's on, if you would like to see them I'll send you the link. I also have a circa 1955 singer featherweight which I use in the carvan and at workshops
Just sitting down starting to do a bit of hand quilting on my Christmas quilt, not sure which Christmas its for, a queen size, made the mistake of using wool batting and poly cotton batting, oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh my poor fingers...........

Hi All,
A very tired day for me. Enjoying a girly night last night with some friedns when OH calls (1.30am) to say baby is awake and what should he do (idiot). I come home and he promtly goes to bed leaving me up, and VERY worse for wear after 2 bottles of wine, till 3.30am with DD2!!! Then up with DD1 and DS at 6am so a grand total of 2 1/2 hours sleep
Have had 2 viewings on our house and they were both promising so am waiting on a call from the EA tomorrow.
No housework today as is immaculate due to having viewers so now need to get on with a lovely Sunday Dinner. Might just do a big apple and peach crumble-mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Hope you are all enjoying your day,

Morning.. well it is for me anyway - only got up about an hour ago. Didnt get to bed till about 6am.
Was meant to be going out with a friend to cheer me up after a horrible week... i get my glad rags on.. really done myself up cos havent had a nice night out for months. Started to make my tea while i waited for them to turn up..... and they text me to say theyve changed their mindsSo after a teary phone call to my mumasking what id done lately to deserve so much rubbish... i got changed back into my comfy clothes and though oh stuff it! And walked to the pizza shop for the first time in my life i ordered a takeaway - all to myself. Pizza, garlic bread and fries (over £5! ) then i went to the off licence and got a £1.49 bottle of Lambrini  and went and sat in on my own watching rubbish TV.
Went to bed about 2:30amish but couldnt sleep properly... then about 4am when i was just dozing off.. my mobile goes. Long story but my ex (split up 2 days ago) was on his own by mine (we live relatively close) and had just been badly attacked and was bleeding so asked could he come to mine for some help cos he was desperate. Of course i said ok.. and i wont go into detail but it was pretty horrific. An old wound in a delicate place had re-opened after being hit there.. and there was blood everywhere.. he was faint so made him go lie down upstairs while i rang his mum and dad for help (he wouldnt let me ring an ambulance) they left about half 4 to take him to hospital. Leaving me pretty shaken and having to try and tackle blood stained carpets/sheets/clothes. Didnt get to bed till 6-7am and slept on a bare damp matress with a coverless quilt. so u can imagine not a great nights sleep. Woke up this morning to find the blood stains havent gone - rubbish MR muscle multipurpose cleaner! - So i just did a search and will be off to clean it up oldstyle in a min.*fingers crossed*
Sorry to go on especially about something not so nice.. but ive got no-one else to talk to and im just wondering if this week coming can get any better cos last week was a bit poop?!0 -
Hello everyone
Sorry you're having such a bad time of everything at the moment, Johanne. ((((hugs))))
Anyway, not very OS today. Had to get up at 6 to go and take auntie to Manchester airport. Trouble with it being Sunday was that nothing opens till ish - so had decided to stay in Mcr and shop. After driving around in search of somewhere to get a coffee, ended up in a Maccy D's in Salford - had to go there as needed the loo. Then went to Trafford Centre for a while - got a few Xmas pressie. Then went to Costco - another Xmas pressie and lots of wine
However, then decided to go home via Bolton as there is a bike shop there. They didn't have what I wanted but pointed me in the direction of another - they had lots of lovely bikes, most of which I couldn't afford, then he showed me an "as new, previously enjoyed" bike (aka 2nd hand) Erm, well, I erm, sort of, erm ....bought it
Also accidentally got the price wrong when told Mr TM that I'd got my pressie from him
Ah, what the heck - I've had a really !!!!!! time lately, had a dreadful holiday - I deserve something nice that I want, for a change. Anyway, Father Christmas will be bringing it in December.
OK, gotta go and cut 3 lots of hair now. Best go before I drink any more wine0 -
Hi everyone and welcome to the new posters.
We're just about back to normal after our holiday, I got the rest of the washing dried outside today and now have a huge pile of ironing, don't know when I'll get it done because I can only do a bit at a time because of my ailments. Can anyone explain how the house can look an absolute tip when you come home after a holiday, I swear it was immaculate when we left.
We had a great outing yesterday, we went to the Yorkshire Food Festival and I saw James Martin- Curry-Queen will be sooo jealous. We did spend rather a lot of money but got some lovely meat, shin beef and braising steak from a farm which is quite near us, it's not organic but they rear all the animals so at least I know where it's come from and some dry cured gammon. Also got some gorgeous pork pie which we've just had with salad and the last, just about, of my home grown tomatoes. I have a bagful of soft tomatoes to make into sauce tomorrow, but this year I haven't had any green ones so I'm pleased about that.
I think I might do a bit of the ironing tonight and I'm sure I can find an excuse not to iron everything, after all I don't think we'll be wearing shorts until next year now.
Enjoy your evening.0 -
DD helped me clean the kitchen while we made Sunday lunch for six.
Why can it take 2 hours to cook - 20 mins to eat and 2 hours to clear the mess?
Enjoyed the meal though- DH says I am getting the hang of Sunday lunch - after 23 years I should hope so.
Need to make up our bed and iron a couple of things for DD.
Made fruit cake in BM as DD says "It is yummy"
and have white loaf in BM now. Should be ready at 9pm.
Joanne sorry you have been having such a rotten time.
Hope you get the bloodstains out - salt and cold water seems to ring a bell.
Hug to everyone that needs one"This site is addictive!"

Hi All,
Ive been on a MSE family day out, and went to the Malvern hills climbing for the afternoon. DH and DS (2 yrs) were with me, and we had a great time. Only problem I had was when we got back to the car, and I tried to put DS in his carseat. I slipped, and my foot pushed the cardoor into the woman parked next to us. She got out of her car and started moaning, but I said it was an accident (the sight of me wedged by my sons feet should have given it away!). Anyhow, other than that I attempted to make my first HM lemon meringue. It has not turned out to bad, but needs more lemon in it. Never mind.
Hope everyone had a good day today.
LOLA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -
Well I've had an enjoyable day finding out how things work here, well a bit anyway.
Supper is in the oven, I'm having rice and vegetables roasted in olive oil, rosemary and thyme. The vegetables are from my delivered box, and smell wonderful.
Nice relax later before the hectic week starts again.0
