    Evening all

Been a very relaxing day, met friends this morning and wandered aimlessly round the shops. Came back to a lovely dinner, chicken in the SC with all the trimmings. We sat at the table chatting from 3pm until after 7pm....always the sign of a good meal.

Loads of clearing up to do - but I'm not working until wednesday so gives me a little time to clear up :D

    Have awonderful evening all.

Not a very eventful day. Spent the morning in the garden talking over a cup of tea with the neighbours and watching DS getting very dirty. Had chicken with lemon and rosemary for tea, it was nice but I didn't really enjoy it. It took to so long to make that I was sick of the sight of it by the time we came to eat it.
The computer has been red hot today with all the family wanting a go. I've cut the plug off the telly (again!) so everyone's been looking for other things to do. The house has been quieter with no kids arguing about whose turn it is to watch the tele next. Only a few more days to entertain ourselves as I'll rewire the plug again on Friday night. Hope you've all had a good weekend and that I haven't missed anything good on the box!

Good evening everyone. A late post here as usual for me (evenings is my internet time normally). Have had a good day today. DS scored 3 goals in his football match this morning and won the man of the match trophy. The team won 10-2 so lots of happy boys and parents.

Had HM potato wedges with an assortment of freezer oddments for lunch. Will have to do a freezer shop soon. My sister visited this afternoon. She has just moved to Lichfield with her job. Its funny, when she lived half a mile away we hardly ever saw each other but now she has moved and we have to make the effort to stay in touch we see each other more than ever. She had been for Sunday lunch at mum's and came clutching a bowl of trifle that mum had sent for us. Mmmmm. Made my speciality soup (carrot & courgette) for tea time which is delicious. Ate it with HM 4-seed loaf which OH adores. He took some to work last week and his colleagues have asked me to make them one!

    Have a good evening everyone.

my first post on here for a couple of weeks after moving and then having no internet.

I've had quite a good money saving day - spent no money, done 2 loads of washing, made £2.50 selling something we found in our loft at our old place, presume an old tennet left it , and then made a chicken and pasta bake for dinner - and it's all gone :T - first time I've cooked a proper meal in my new tiny kitchen - obviously designed for people to just 'cook' microwave meals in so was a bit of a challenge - and made lots of mess and no longer got a dishwasher  but never mind, we'll get used to it and our water bill will hopefully be less (first time with a water meter  )

  • hello again all
Ive had a bit of a mad day today even though it started out quite chilled! I am terrible for leaving things right to the last minute and then I get in a bit of a flap. Anyway I had a lovely time with my two friends and although the food was nothing to write about I think they had a good time - maybe next time I will bring the caterers in!!!
I have a very busy day tomorrow with another loaded washing basket and no food in at all - oh dear
thank you all for making me feel so welcome and hello to some new people who started after me ha ha maybe I am not such a newbie now after all!

    Morning All

Hope nobody minded me starting the thread this morning. I love Queenies threads but thought id make a start...sorry...lol :o

Not too good today and think its going to be a rough day. Weather is cold and wet/damp here so not a good start to the day, have put the GCH on to see if that makes a difference, but im tired too and that makes me feel colder. Have added to myself this morning: thick socks, extra jumper and wheat bag warmed in microwave :D Will have a bath about 8'ish so that will heat me through-OH will have to help me though as im in quite abit of pain today....never mind....life goes on

The roast lamb we had yesterday was lovely. We cooked in the oven as normal but just roasted it slowly. Dinner was lovely and theres enough lamb left for a couple of rounds of sarnies and a curry :T The joint was on BOGOF so cost £3.

Have SIL coming today and is doing some bits around the house. Am going to get her to do 4 more cupboards in kitchen, polishing in lounge, wooden blinds in lounge, pine unit and pine nest of tables washed down with warm soapy water-which hasnt been done in ages. Also some ironing.

    Have 2 washloads to do.

Breakie will be bacon butty. Lunch is jacket spud with ham & coleslaw/Lamb & mint sarnie. Dinner will be????

Try and catch up later-have agreat day. ((((((())))))) to everyone

    Good Morning :hello:

PP - hope you manage to keep nice and warm and the tiredness eases; nothing worse than being run down and cold. (Maybe you need some 'soul satisfying' HM Chicken Soup? :) Works wonders) ;)

Have a great day everyone  :D:D

  • Good morning everyone

Have been awake since 5.15 with DD as it's her latest thing to be up at the crack of dawn. DS1 and 2 are still asleep (thank goodness)!

After school run, will do housework then take DD to clothing swap (you take your good condition used clothes and swap for other used and brand new clothes). Then have to take DS1's books back to the library for him. Hopefully won't spend any money today but you never know lol!

We have left over roast chicken for dinner which I will do with lots of veg that has to be eaten before it goes bad!

Have a good day all x
