  • Hello everyone. It's beautiful here today, sunny and warm, got two loads of washing on the line already and have cleaned the bathroom, just about to go and do the rest of the upstairs rooms and the staircase (yuk). Off into town then to pick up a few bits and pieces and then this afternoon it's back to decluttering DS's room. He's gone to uni now so while the cat's away.....

Lunch is cauliflower and broccoli soup and a sandwich, and tonight's dinner will be Thai beef curry. Yum.

So sorry to hear about the car, Jo, hope the insurance covers it. The mindlessness seems unbelievable.

Have a good day everyone. Hope you're feeling warmer PP!

    greetings from swansea uni library!

its been a while since i've posted in one of these OL style diary things, rather naughty of me really.

anyway, last night i dug the breadmaker out and decided to give it another go (the last loaf i tried to make was a complete failure and i lost heart somewhat). MIL was slicing it up this morning to make doorstop toast though, so i must have done something right :D

i made all the lunchbox bits for me and OH last night, so this morning all i had to do was make the coffee.

i've been to one lecture this morning, im free til one then i have a three hour marathon of lectures  my brain hurts :D :rotfl:

this afternoon there is a presention for one of my lecturers who won the crown at this years eisteddfod, so im going to hear her read her winning poems (see story HERE if you are interested), a quick shop in tescos then home to do some tidying up. and no doubt a tad more waffling on here.

hope you all have a good day.

and jo - just remember karma: what comes around goes around. they'll get their due *hugs*

I only seem to catch up with this thread at lunchtime now. I'm so busy every morning and I try to stay away from the computer until I have everything done.

So far today I have made all the beds, tidied the bedrooms, put one load of washing on, one out to dry and sorted and folded and put away all the dry stuff. Have hoovered all the way through, cleaned the kitchen floor, tidied the living room and dining room, put tonights tea into the slow cooker and done the weeks shopping at Asda. Just about to put another load into the washing machine and clean the bathroom and toilet and then it will be almost time to do the school run.

Back from hospital and am glad to say that the xrays show DD2s hips are of normal alignment :D , so we celebrated by taking her to the doc for her MMR jab _pale_ poor baby was NOT happy bout that.

Home to find no news yet from house viewings but keeping fingers crossed. Washing is now all out, washing up done and dinner ready to go. Am hunting now for yogurt makers, anyone know where to get em cheap and where to buy the mixes? Will also post this question in I Wanna but thought all the OS crowd were more likely to be able to help.

Off to make lunch for hungry kiddies now,

Hello all, hope you are all doing ok. I have never posted about my day but thought i would give you an insight to what kind of night/day i have had so far. I was up at 3am with my two year old who woke for a wee and wouldnt go back until 5-15, at which point i had to get up and do a pre-fast meal for the family,(we are muslim and its Ramadhan) went back to bed at 6ish and then got up again at 7-45 . Took my 2 daughters to school, the older two that are at secondary school go themselves(by bus) There was an upset at the school with my friend who is being intimidated by another couple of mums, I had to take her into the heads office to help her explain what has been going(my friend later rang me and said she isnt sending her girls to the school any more coz she cant handle it and she is 6 months pregnant etc etc)
Came back home and have tried to do bits of housework but am distracted by the news of the earthquake in Pakistan. Lots of children have been killed. I have been there twice(husband is from Azad kashmir) and quite frankly alot of people were suffering before this and now will need all the help they can get. Same old story, the government cant cope.
Breakfast was 2 slice of toast at 5-20
lunch will be nothing, no water or anything allowed all day until 6-30pm(just to make you feel guilty lol.,
Dinner will be something warm and filling.Dont know what
Easy to fast when you know there are so many people suffering in the world, My biggest problem is to keep my temper with the adult bullies at the school when i pick up my daughetrs coz fasting requires self control and i have little patience with imtimidation, also my daughters best friend is the daughter of the one who is not bringing her daughters back to the school, so she will be upset, really upset.Anyway, better stop wafffling and thanks for the outlet
    Have a good day folks

I had forgotten how awful adult bullies could be. Perhaps you should speak to the police about an injunction and dont let them fob you off and say you need to get a solicitor to do it the police just try that one. Insist or speak to the school and get them to ban them. You didnt ask for advice and sorry if you didnt want it. Was just trying to help.

Thats really kind of you but its my friend who has had the trouble and she feels by moving her kids to another school she wont have to face the bullies again. She has already rang another school and they are starting it tomorrow.so basically because of imtimidation, her girls went to school today and will be going to a new one tomorrow !! what a shock for them.Very upsetting for all concerned.Adult bullies are dreadful and its unbelieveable that they can act this way, thanks for your kind thought though.
