Up to early - little ones woke up at 6am, so after a really long days work yesterday I am not impressed. I do plan to go back to bed for a few hours later to catch up when dinners cooking.
S/Cooker Beef (cos last weeks was so perfect!!!), roasties (made myself!), brussels, carrots, yorkies!!! I too love Sundays (especially the food!)
We are supposed to be going to my nephews 4th birthday party today. But, he is such a horror, I don't think that I want to take the kids or myself over for a ghaslty party.
Booked a weekend away to Lille last night Okay, my mother paid for it but I did the booking, cos she is always unsure of things like that (Wierd I know, but she likes to blames others if it goes wrong I think!!). So, used Quidco, got a massive £4 back.
Nice Mummy! :T
We are going mid December for 2 nights and are going for the Christmas Markets! Costing £80 each, including hotel and return Eurostar, so not bad at all!
Talking about Christmas, I've nearly finished the shopping too! Sold old stuff on Ebay, made £200 :T so far and need about another £100 to finish off stuff! I'm getting Christmas excited this year! I don't do that often!!! :j
Currently, the kids are watching Muzzy and I am happy bunny with my warm coffee!
Anyhow, have a nice day all :T0 -
:j Very well done, Charlotte on your sales! £200 !!!!! :T

Good morning everyone!!
My darling hubbie sold 2 of his fishing reels last night on eBay - so we've now transferred £150 into our bank account - that will keep the wolves from the door lol!!!
DH is working again today (it's lucky he can do OT - but he's absolutely knackered!!) DD and I will be doing housework this morning - all her uniform is washed - just need to iron it. This afternoon we might get some board games out (I remember when I was a kid that's what we did on Sundays)!!
Roast turkey, HM yorkies, roast tatties, stuffing, broccoli, carrots, peas and gravy for tea - yum!!!
Yesterday I made loads of pizza dough up in the breadmaker and have stuck it in the freezer. Also I spent about 20 mins chopping onions and have bagged them up and stuck them in the freezer - so no more chopping onions this week!!!
MIL took DD shopping yesterday and spent £70 on clothes for her!!!!!! That's great because we can't afford any for a little while!!!
Anyway off for a bath and a quick read (I love Sundays) - Might pop back on later!!
ByeeSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Oops sorry to whoever it was that wanted the Mars bars cake recipe cos I forgot to go back to the thread.
Lots of Mars bars chopped up, bung in a bowl over hot water to melt, add about two tablespoonful of syrup, a dod of butter and stir until it looks like the dogs dinner.
Stir in crispies or cornflakes then either put in cake cases or in a baking tray to cool. You can add melted chocolate to the top if you like but usually we have used enough Mars bars that more chocolate would make it a bit too sickly
Happy Sunday everyone, may your God go with you :j0 -
stressedoutmumof1 - Woohoo!!! :T Well done on *your* ebay bonus too :T
Aww, what a sweetie of a MIL you have - spending £70 on dd's clothes isn't £70 ... it's *priceless*
Hope your DH isn't too shattered when he gets home from OT - I'm sure your HM Yorkshires will revive himEnjoy your bath and have fun with your Board Games - you've got me thinking "Scrabble" now LOL

Hi Yall, Nothing OS planned today. Off to Church in an hour and then to MIL's for lunch. My kitchen is ominously quiet and the cooker strangely cold for a Sunday morning - nice for a change tho! Washer is a chugging and will probably save to dry in the tumble-bumble early tomorrow of cheapo leccy. Still no central heating but I've got another plumber quoting tomorrow. One quote is already posted on the 'is this fair board' but I've not had much interest *hint* if you know any plumbers onboard purleeeese point them it that direction.
Have a good day

Morning all,
I have 1 load of washing in the machine, and weather looks ok so will hang out when done. Got back from babysitting about 12.30 last night, I had a nice time curled up on the sofa there reading my novelOH has been busy last night while I was out putting more tiles up in the bathroom so I am feeling more confident it will be finished before Xmas! OH also cut his hair using clippers, before he met me he spent £8 on having it cut at barbers every 5 weeks so he's saving about £80 a year! He trims my hair for me too- I'm a bit phobic about hairdressers and what they might do to me the same way that other people are scared of the dentist, so it works out quite well!
Today I need to do the usual housework jobs that I only have time to do once a week-hoover everywhere, polish and dust everywhere, and clean bathroom. When I read some other posters cleaning much more frequently than that I do feel embarassed, but it's not easy to find the time during the week when I have a full time job plus another part time job that takes up an extra 15 hours. I dream of the day I can quit work and start a family and hopefully have more time to keep the house looking nicer, and spend more time on cooking and baking....
Have a lovely Sunday everyone, as restful as it can be!
