Listen to me rambling, its only cause OH has been away for work the last couple of days and wont be in till v v late Fri, am wollowing in self pity.
OH well, girly night on Sat with some choc and a few bottles of winethat will do the trick.
Dull an misty here today so not much chance of dry laundry-AGAIN. On the plus side things seem to be progressing with our house purchase and will will now be in b4 xmas :T :j
Must get on, all the housework is staring at me.............bother.
Love and hugs to all that need them,
Al.
The days do seem to merge into one long round of the same old things.....I'm sure I'm the only one in the house that is physically able to put the lid on the toothpaste!
Anyway....got lots achieved this morning. After taking all the plants to the bath room for a shower and a dead head I thought I'd have a good clean in the living room, gave it all a good dust and hoover, cleaned out the parrots cage, turned all the cushions on the sofas and hooverd down the backs, moved the sofas and rugs around, cleaned the fire grate out and had a general tidy. Got my ironing done too and ironed all the bits I wanted to put on Ebay and have photo'd and weighed everything ready to list in a bit.
3 loads of washing done and dried and put away!!! (A miracle) and everywhere is looking tidy and clean (2 bags of stuff waiting to go in the loft sitting in the hall where DH will fall over them) DW empty and run empty to clean it. Chicken out the freezer to make curry with for tomorrow nights tea and BM doing it's stuff as we speak.
It won't look the same after I've done the school run as I've got 2 after schoolers tonight...buy at least I saw it tidy....actually, maybe I should take a photo to show DH that it wasn't just my imagination??? :rotfl:"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Jeepers Pooky, how in the heck did you manage all that?!? I'd be lucky to have it done in a week.
Do any of the rest of you find it next to IMPOSSIBLE to maintain things at home with babies/toddlers running around your ankles kindly undoing all your hard work?
I swear, if it wasn't for my Prozac I don't know what I'd doWW Start Weight 18/04/12 = 19st 11lbsWeight today = 17st 6.5lbsLoss to date 32.5lbs!!!0 -
Hi all - I think photographing your clean and tidy rooms is the way to go, when you have small monsters....erm, children about the place. I swear to Mr TM that I clean the house and tidy everything, but by the time he gets home everything looks wrecked again. However, he came with me to do the school run so is seeing first hand what a load of tired school boys can do to a house in 1/2 hour
Today I didn't do much OS. Took DS1 to school and DS2 to a friend's, each complete with packed lunch, then to uncle's funeral. Just got back and am having 1/2 hour to myself before starting tea - which will probably be fish fingers and chips for kids (and Mr TM cos I'm still full of buffet, but then, so should he be) Need to do ironing tonight but may do minimum amount necessary and go do something else instead. Maybe sort out some bits whilst watching something mind-blowingly dull on tv
Anyway, tomorrow is another day - I'll put BM on tonight so at least I can wake up to lovely fresh bread.0 -
Hi all
I can join in today cos I have actually been OS! No work for me today cos my son's childminder is on hols so OH and I are taking days off each to look after him. Today, I woke to the smell of fresh Ciabatta loaf ready in the BM, have done a load of washing and dried it and SC is currently bubbling away (first time I've used it) with, what will hopefully be, Hungarian Goulash (recipe from SC book). Just hoovered whilst littl'un is having a nap.
Have a good day all,

A funny day for me really, I had a terrible night, managed to get to sleep somewhere around 4.30am only to wake at 8am, so did not manage to get out of bed before 10am.
Not a lot done really, was doing some research on this machine for various things, supper fish with mashed spuds cheese sauce and peas, bread and butter pudd to follow made with stale currant loaf.
This evening a friend e mailed me asking if we could dog sit for two days next week, so we are off to the country from Monday morning to Wednesday night, staying in a lovely old georgian rectory with real log fires and an Aga in the kitchen... yoooo hooooo........
Thats it I am pooped off to bed..... night night..........

Good Morning :hello:
A really early morning here at Queenie's Abode - not planned - but making the best use of it anyway
I've updated the accounts (been putting it off for a little while)
I have some cakes cooling ready for the packed lunches (only a few mins in the microwave so it wasn't arduous LOL )
Drawn up my shopping list and gathered my coupons.
I've read the meter so I can stick the card out for the meter man (!) just in case he calls while I'm out collecting the lads.
Other than that, I don't have too much to worry about for the rest of the morning, so I'm looking forward to going over my "Pamper Basket" and having an hour of "me time" once the house is quiet and everyone is on their merry ways
Enjoy your day everyone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well i havent been to bed yet but.. ah well.
Had a rubbish start to day - ran out of gas, light bulbs blown leaving me with no landing or bedroom lights and i cant reach to fix em and felt like poop to put it politely but the icing on the cake is what happened about 4 hours ago.Basically i have known me and OH havent been "ok" last week or so there was something on his mind.. but wasnt expecting the bombshell i got before.. he doesnt wanna be together anymoreI am gutted but im not gonna mope and no hugs needed!...
I'll be ok.
Only problem is (and dont wanna sound a nasty person for thinking of this already.. but my mind is all over the place and time like this i have "practical thoughts" that always come across cold-hearted) it leaves me in more of a problem than i thought i had already..... i know will be losing my job and wont be able to pay my rent sometime within the next month or so...... so he was gonna move in even on a temp basis to help me out so i dont lose the house (No DSS and rent of £425 a month) but now obviously thats off the table.... which leaves me in a rubbish position of being completely .. well cant think of a polite way to put it...... so ive lost my boyfriend, will be losing my job and probably now my house too ...... ever felt your world is coming crashing down around your ears?0 -
((((Hugs))))) I know you didn't want them, but it's flipping freezing in me pj's and the heating not on, so I was being "selfish"
I'm really sorry to hear what a Pooh-Day you've had
Could your parents help you out?
Could you ask OH for a loan to tide you over?Just because you're no longer an "item" ... surely he isn't callous enough to see you jobless AND homeless?
