Jeepers, everyone is having a bad day today it seems, me included.

I just ahd a call from the estate agent to ell me that our bl**** house sale has fallen through, I am GUTTED :(

Just when we get the go ahead on the house that we want it all turns to poo. Needless to say my diet has gone right out the window and I am currently consoling myself with copious amounts of chocolate :o

    ARGH.................am crying with frustration.

Anyway, housework still needs doing, got to get DD1 off to school in half and hour so must get on.

    Hope all our days improve.
    Love to all,
    Al.

sorry to hear your house sale fell through Ahm
If you find you must lose the house you want to buy, dont forget to tell the solicitors as we did this years ago and found they still wanted a bill for holding onto our mortgage/survey/house documents.

Ever have those days when you just can't be bothered?
I've done a load of washing (now drying) & made pasta for lunch with all the leftover veggies in the fridge, but other than that, today is a dead loss. I'm working from home, but I usually get chance to do a few jobs around the house. I've got nothing planned for tea, so !!!!!! it, we're having a takeaway curry. Just worked out that I've made £111.34 on my expenses for this month, so £13.50 for a curry isn't the end of the world.
Off to the gym later, so that might perk me up a bit.

Penny-Pincher - culpepper's advice of oil of cloves is great, but I should add that it tastes absolutely foul. However the relief it brings far outweighs the manky taste.

Hope everyone has a pleasant weekend

    Afternoon all

Wish I could say I'd be the exception and tell you all about my fantastic day so far...buy can't, it's been a steaming pile of ****.

I think the best remedy will be for everyone to have a nice hot bubbly bath and enough choccy and wine to numb the brain.

Need to do something with some chicken thighs I got out the freezer yesterday, I'll bung them in the slow cooker in a bit and leave them to fester. Must go and do the supermarket shop tonight as the car goes in for M.O.T tomorrow and we've got friends coming on Sunday.....knowing my luck the car will fail and we won't get to the shops otherwise!!

Hope everyones afternoon pans out a bit better.

    Hi all!
Hope things start looking up very shortly for everyone who's been having a difficult time.
My day today is quiet. Yesterday saw me making [along with some others] hot choc for 170 kids whilst wearing a dressing gown. Yes don't ask!!
Have been at work this morning and then it's off home for a haircut followed by a quick dash around Tescos. Am trying a new recipe for tea tonight- various veg fried with an egg, breadcrumbs and cheddar grated in and then baked for 25 mins.
Tomorrow it's my 6 weekly trip to Lidl- list done and hoping to pick up some boxes of choc for Xmas pressies. Am also planning to go into the town to see some of our local morris dance teams and I have a horrible feeling I really must tackle the garden. Ugh not my favourite!!
Hopefully we can chill out on Sunday- perhaps a picnic lunch at the beach...
    Have a fab weekend.

Sorry to hear so many are having a bad day.
    :j Happy Birthday Maisie:j
I've been burning the candle at both ends and this morning my lovely husband did all three school runs so that I could have a lie in. I slept until 12.30pm  , so I must have needed it, but now I feel ready to tackle anything.

Casserole in the slow cooker, already beginning to smell good. Youngest will be home from school soon and I've promised that I'd spend some time building lego with him. Working tonight, but then seven days off. :j

Had a bad afternoon with call centers. Had enough. Going to change energy supplier to one I trust!

DD isn't as sick as she was this morning. She's been bouncing around the livingroom most of the afternoon. So much for being sick Argh!

  • Good afternoon everyone! :hello:

I haven't posted for a couple of days as I've not been feeling very OS! :o

But I'm home from work now and it's the weekend!! I intend to be very OS this weekend. Shopping from Sainsburys is due any minute - £44.30 for the week (including BOGOF turkey!!!) :j

The whole house needs scrubbing from top to bottom - I was going to start tonight - but I'm really tired - so I think I'm going to leave it (washing up an all!!) There's no chance of DH lifting a finger - however he is working all weekend, so that means he won't have a day off for 2 weeks - bless!!

Dinner tonight will be jacket potatoes - I'm going to stick them in the oven in a mo! I'm really hoping my shopping is delivered late again - I got a £10 voucher last week and it would be really nice to get another!

As well as all the housework, I'll be making HM pizza dough, HM bread (white and brown), flapjacks and jam doughnut muffins.

DD likes to help me around the house (she's 6) but will NOT do her own room! Oh well you can't have it all lol! :rotfl:
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
