Up early this morning and into work early (for me!) so I can build up some flexitime to take a half day off tomorrow. DS's school is closed in the afternoon so they can prepare for the open morning on Saturday.

I made a 4-seed loaf from my BM book last night so the house smelled lovely this morning. It should have been a 5-seed loaf but, hey, whatever! It looks delicious so I can't wait to try it tonight. I may make a HM vegetable soup in my pressure cooker after reading a thread on here about them to go with the bread.

I have also been inspired to have a go at crochet so I bought a hook on the local market but I only had some fluffy wool wich made it a bit difficult so I will go to see my sister, the craft guru this weekend for a lesson with un-fluffy wool.

Was in a rush to get in this morning so I have no lunch with me which means I will have to buy something (booo!!)

Have a good day everyone. Hope those of you who are under the weather soon feel better.

PS. Welcome back Queenie, you had us worried.

Morning all, grey and horrible here this morning - not very inspiring.

Took DD's and other charges off to school and have managed to sort out the online banking and reply to a few emails. Washings washing, tumblings tumbling and all the plants are in the bath and have had a shower and a trim of dead leaves. Must clean out the parrot in a bit and then a quick hoover round. Sort out some more washing and make the beds that are airing at the moment. After that it's get the sewing machine out to get some stuff made, alter a pair of trousers and try and find my bag of stuffing which seems to have crawled away and hidden somewhere.

Liver and bacon for tea with sausages for DD2 as she hates liver. Lunch will be what ever I grab, probably a choccy biscuit (i'm in one of those sort of moods today). Must put BM on too at some stage as I use the last of it in lunch boxes this morning.

So much to do and so little enthusiasm!!!

    Have a good one all.

Just as I decide that I have a clear day to get to grips with the ironing - another daughter was sick all night!!!!

Stuff the ironing - family is more important!

DD got invited to a halloween party and I opened my big mouth and said I would make her a costume!

Will try to cut down a black dress and add motifs like crescent moon, stars and cobweb.

The ironing is slipping down the list:confused:

Today will probably be pasta or roast potatoes and chicken pie.
